It is not a baseless conceptualization. Since attachment establishes itself in its own function, it should be understood that there is no difference in the attachment of the limb that obtains even in the absence of direct perception conceptualization. After explaining sense direct perception, in order to avoid disputes made by others, the nature of mind direct perception is shown by the distinction of cause and object. The term "mind" should be understood as relying solely on mind, because all consciousnesses are mind itself. The term "also" is to gather into direct perception itself. The sense consciousness itself is both immediately preceding and a condition, that is, whatever arises from it. This shows the difference of cause. The object of the sense consciousness is immediately preceding, that is, it grasps what is without interruption from it. This shows the difference of object, and the mind that has become such is considered direct perception. If it is asked, is it not so because direct perception is not mentioned? Answer: The term "direct perception" has been mentioned, this is the occasion. The term "joining" means looking, that is, looking at it itself is joining. Explaining the sutra itself says that not only sense consciousness is direct perception, but also mind is direct perception. What is the difference between them? It is said: Whatever is produced by sense consciousness. By making sense consciousness itself a distinction, this is both the same in the nature of consciousness and without interruption, because there is no interruption. It itself is also a condition, the meaning of condition is the meaning of cause. Naming with a name famous from the established tenets is to show that mind direct perception is famous from the established tenets, that is, to prove mind direct perception, it is not necessary to seek other valid cognitions. Then why is it established in the classification of direct perception? Answer: If there is mind direct perception, then its characteristic is like this, the author of the sutra in order to prevent the dispute made after acknowledging the mind direct perception famous from the established tenets. In order to eliminate the objective condition, the immediately preceding condition is also mentioned, like this, simultaneous with the immediately preceding moment of one's own object, existing in one's own continuum, similar in kind.

The arising of subsequent sensory consciousness, in some cases, yogis take the sensory consciousness existing in the continuum of others as the object, thereby generating the ability to know the minds of others, which can be excluded by mentioning the equivalent immediate cause. One's own, that is, one's own, is the object of sensory consciousness. The sixth case of "that" indicates that the preceding and following moments are closely taken and abandoned, and that the object arises from the close taking and abandoning. Therefore, the moment when the object of sensory consciousness is taken as the cause is not grasped. The so-called "immediate" means without interruption. The so-called "moment" also shows that it is itself a moment because the object is a moment. Any sensory consciousness, because it has the same meaning, acts together with it, but it is not an increasing action, because it is unreasonable to increase the momentary substance. They also act together because they have the same function. The consciousness that arises in this way is manifest. The second difference also shows its object. Because the mind is like that, it is not seen without the senses, and for those who do not have the senses as their object, there is no mind that can see with that object. The absence of the senses is the absence of the function of the senses. It is said that in the state of conceptualization, the seeing of consciousness does not arise, because there is no equivalent direct cause—the cause of sensory consciousness. Nor is it another object, because it holds the moment belonging to the meaning taken by sensory consciousness, so other meanings, even those not belonging to the same continuum, are not held. Therefore, it refutes the opponent's statement that even without the function of the senses, one can see the meaning, and similarly, because the mind can also see, there will be no blind and deaf people, because there is no cause in the state of conceptualization, and for the blind and so on, in the seeing of what is taken, there is no sensory consciousness that acts together with the immediate cause of its own object. Also, what is taken
