This is a section explaining words. Because it is special, the wisdom of the senses is inexpressible, it reveals the meaning of what cannot be expressed. Therefore, the summary of all this is: at the time of naming, if something is not seen to be associated with a certain sound, then it will not be considered special. For example, the sound of a cow is like a horse. All objects of the senses are also not seen to be associated with all sounds, which means that universality is invisible. The thing that is distinguished by sound is characterized by the lack of self-nature. If an unnamed sound distinguishes things, then it will fall into the essence of the existence of a connection between sound and meaning. Therefore, since it does not universally exist in other things, the connection is established by identifying special things through convention, and the connection is universally present through visibility. This argument is not unfounded, because when the moment creates naming, the thing has disappeared, so it is impossible to name the thing that can be understood by the senses. Even if it can be named, since there is no subsequent action, there is no need for naming related to understanding. Even if naming is done, the thing that is named has passed. Everything that is understood at the time of naming is something that has not been seen before, so there is no naming. Here, the author says that through "the combination of sounds" etc., the reason why naming is not needed, rather than not being able to name. In the Pramāṇavārttika, the inability to name is also mentioned. To the perception that abides in the state of non-discrimination and inexpressibility, others say, "How does perception turn into nominal terms?" This is related. Through what kind of form? The meaning is "no". "Oh, then" means intolerance, because if the entering limb is considered a valid means of cognition, then since it is not an entering limb, it is intolerable that perception also becomes a valid means of cognition, that is their thought. Now, it means the moment of admitting that perception is non-discriminating. Determination is final, and nominal terms arise from that kind of perception in which self-nature does not exist.

Entering into the realm of objects that accomplish happiness, and not turning away from the realm of accomplishing suffering. The thought is this: because direct perception is merely the nature of uncertainty, just some appearances that seem to be near in meaning. Even if it is uncertain, like a moment, this is not a realm to enter. Furthermore, with direct perception that only grasps the appearance of an accomplishing object, it cannot grasp the connection with the desired result because it is not a near result. Since non-conceptual direct perception cannot even grasp the connection of things that become near objects, how could it grasp things that are not near objects? Even if the object that accomplishes happiness is uncertain, it does not enter with conceptualization. Therefore, what acts as the object of entry is the object that accomplishes happiness, which has certainty established in its own nature and has definite knowledge, and not something else. Furthermore, why does the direct perception of the nature of certainty itself transform into terminology? Answer: "This accomplishes happiness." "This accomplishes suffering," like this, it is determined as direct perception itself with "this." If it is completely determined, then the person who makes the terminology completely determines the meaning that is close to accomplishing happiness. What is called the accomplisher of happiness and suffering indicates the realm of entry. How does one enter into the meaning of obtaining and abandoning happiness and suffering in a reasonable way? The word "because" is the meaning of reason. Because one enters with certainty in this way, uncertain knowledge is not a part of terminology. Because certainty is the realm of entry, an object of uncertain nature is not to be made the realm of entry, and it is not a part of entry either. Because grasping the hand and so on does not cause entry, the enterer of knowledge is none other than the one who acts as the realm of entry. This enterer is also pervaded by the determiner itself. Because direct perception does not have it, the enterer
