In order to show the correct knowledge, it is said "by these" and so on. Why are these not deceptive? It means that it is not deceptive with two negations. Therefore, these are correct knowledge, and not deceiving itself is correct knowledge. Just as in the world, being consistent with the promised thing is not deceptive, so knowledge should also be regarded as not deceptive because it is consistent with the thing indicated. Its meaning is that grasping things themselves is not correct knowledge, but it is the method of obtaining things. How is that known? Because it is said "for the sake of action." Among them, "action" refers to the main things and so on that need to be accomplished. Its "action" is the act, that is, the act of accomplishing. Here, it refers to the actor himself. Therefore, the meaning is that for the field that can accomplish what needs to be accomplished, not deceiving is what is obtained in reliance on it. Because those who have conceptualization and seek meaning, what kind of correct knowledge they seek, we should also examine that kind of knowledge. When they engage in accomplishing action, they seek the knowledge that can obtain it, not just grasping things themselves, because that cannot accomplish action, nor can it obtain it, nor is it the method of obtaining it. Moreover, it can also be obtained from conceptualization and inference. The nature of action is the ability to obtain action, the knowledge that appears as action, that is also because the action has already been completed, so it should not be examined by those who have conceptualization and seek meaning, therefore it is only mentioned incidentally in the scriptures, but it is not the purpose of the scriptures. Therefore, grasping things themselves is not correct knowledge, but it is the method of obtaining it. If that is the case, then the thing taken by direct perception cannot be obtained, because it is momentary. The thing taken by inference cannot be obtained either, because it has no entity. Like this, conceptualization thinks that its own appearance is meaningless, but thinks that it is meaningful.

Nala. The objects of various conceptual thoughts are also the objects of attachment. As it is said in the Commentary on Valid Cognition, "What is undetermined by determinations, how are those their objects?" That is what is said. What is imputed is also not an external entity, therefore, what is obtained by the two valid cognitions? Answer: In the act of engaging. It is said so. The objects of valid cognition are of two types: what is apprehended, that is, the ultimate truth that appears separately, or the object of imputation and attachment. Among these, the object to which consciousness engages is the one that is not deceptive when obtained, but not the apprehended. Both also engage in the thing itself, as it is said, from conceptual thought, one engages in the thing itself. Therefore, there is no difference between the two in obtaining the thing of the object of engagement, the two valid cognitions will be explained as having the object of the thing. If what is not apprehended is the object of engagement, then there would be the fault of being too extreme. To eliminate this saying, it is said: After deciding the meaning. This means that because one engages based on the previous decision, determination and engagement are shown as cause and effect. Therefore, it is said that one engages in the consciousness itself that decides the meaning. If the meaning of the decision itself is the object of engagement, and not anything else, then it is reasonable, therefore, it will be shown that the decision is the object of engagement, and the decider is the actor itself. Why? Because consciousness abides in the individual, it does not engage in a certain place, but it shows the object of engagement. Therefore, it is reasonable that the decider is the actor. Only the decision is the actor, but also because the one who first shows the object of engagement causes the individual to enter without relying on others, therefore, there is no valid cognition on the meaning of realization. If the actor from understanding is another, then the actor who engages in the understanding of another also becomes a valid cognition. The obtainer is not different from the actor, why? Because the consciousness of obtaining in the object of meaning
