Therefore, if there is a doubt that it is unreasonable because there is no conceptual thought, the answer is that approaching through transmission is because it can be seen even from the past. The word "also" is to indicate that there is no difference between what happened in the past and what happens now. Because it can be seen even in the past, how can the function of things exist from the seen things? Because the past is like a rabbit's horn when producing results, therefore it has no function. How to approach? Because it produces its cause, it is considered to be helping, but in reality, it has no function. Similarly, in other cases, what approaches through transmission is actually not the cause, because it is only the cause of the cause, so it is shown as approaching in this way. Therefore, even for things that are not objects of the senses, one should prove that it has no ability to generate its own sensory consciousness, just like looking at a rabbit's horn, because it clings to things that are not objects of the senses. Therefore, in order to conclude that the clinging consciousness to it is not direct perception, it is explained: Therefore, it is not reasonable to consider this person with the sense of touch and function as having direct perception and direct perceptibility. If the sense of touch does not have direct perceptibility on which object? Showing the object through the way of action is the understanding of things that have no difference from nothingness, that is, knowledge. That is to say, for objects that have no difference from nothingness, understanding does not have direct perceptibility. What is called "This is a vase" is a description of understanding. If asked, how is it no different from nothingness? The answer is, because it is not the object itself. Because it is not an object of the senses, it is no different from nothingness for the sensory consciousness that has its own object. If asked, how is this understood? The answer is, through touch. Because in dark situations, when the eyes have no function, it is understood after the consciousness of touch. At that time, the object of touch itself is not grasped by thinking that it is an object with the difference of things produced from the sense of touch.

Then, if the tangible object is not the object of the tactile sense, then the consciousness that arises based on it becomes like non-existence. Therefore, in order to grasp the object of the sense, it is necessary to rely on what arises from the sense and is close in meaning. If the other party thinks that touch is the tangible object, then the pot that is grasped is the object to be observed. This is unreasonable, because the substance of touch is touch, and anything that is tangible is visible. Therefore, only after touching anything visible can one understand its special meaning. Saying "if" indicates that this is someone else's commitment. The explanation for this is that because it is not the object of the sense, it is like non-existence as you said, it is not like that, because touch is the tangible object. Moreover, recognizing what is seen, one can recognize "this is a pot." Therefore, if it is said that such knowledge arises from the tactile sense, then this is the meaning of "if." Saying "no" means that this discriminating consciousness does not grasp the object of the tactile sense, because in this consciousness of "this is a pot," color appears. The explanation for this is: this consciousness cannot be produced from the tactile sense itself. Thinking "this is a pot" This shows the form of consciousness, meaning that this is this form. When the tactile sense is functioning, the pot, with the difference of color, in the same way as it was seen before, when the seen and the touched are combined and thought about, whether it is produced from a collection or from other fabrications besides that, because color appears. It is not the object of the senses. Color at that time, for the production of the sense consciousness that has its own object, is like non-existence. Similarly, even if it has been seen, but when remembering at the time of touching, the consciousness that thinks "this is a pot" is also considered not to depend on things that are close in meaning. So, what is this conceptual thought?
