It is unreasonable to understand non-deception as non-confusion in order to summarize the main points. Because the teacher does not accept that the meaning of the word "non-confusion" is like that. Because the definition of confusion is like appearing reversed, because it is said so in both places. Even if it is said, "Because things do not appear, conceptual thought appears like direct perception," direct perception means that things appear, and it is not confused about the nature of things that can function. If it is said that subsequent thought becomes confused because it clings to what is not that as that, if you do not accept that direct perception is the opposite of this, then what is the use of saying that subsequent thought itself is confused? If you accept the opposite, then it is confused because it is reversed on what is to be taken, and because it is the opposite of this, direct perception is not confused, therefore, direct perception is not reversed on what is to be taken, so it is established as not confused. Furthermore, direct perception itself is a division of correct knowledge. For this, in the statement "Correct knowledge is free from conceptualization and not confused," it is meaningless to approximate the synonym of correct knowledge, the meaning of non-deception, with the word non-confusion. If the treatises of the Yogacara school are also to be followed entirely, the teacher says that subsequent thought itself is reversed on what is to be taken, and because it arises from the power of things, it is said to be non-conceptual, why not follow it? Therefore, the Vijnanavada school says that the teacher sees that it is established by stable and unstable habits, and says, "If this is meaningless, it will not arise," and so on, this is to accept the nature of external things. Therefore, what was said earlier is the meaning of non-confusion. Some people think that knowledge like the second moon is not deceiving in some aspects, therefore it is valid cognition, therefore, it is unreasonable to say non-confusion in order to refute it, and for this very reason, the teacher Dignāga did not do so either. If it is said that some knowledge is not deceiving at all about the nature of the determined thing, then that is valid cognition, and to say non-deception for this meaning.

It is unreasonable to say that, because there is no consciousness that is not deceptive to all natures of things. If that is the case, how can the words of Master Dignāga, who said that direct perception and inference are valid means of cognition, be established? Even the conceptualizations of children and others, some parts, even the consciousness that is not deceptive to mere objects, do not exist, and there is nothing that does not deceive all natures. Therefore, in order to establish valid cognition, it is said that some conceptual consciousness is never deceptive. In the way described earlier, it is possible to apply non-deception to everything. Therefore, the intention is this: with the purpose of doing things as the goal, having thought, the part that enters by pursuing the purpose itself, relying on obtaining it, is established as non-deceptive, and even if the obvious desire is obtained, it is non-deceptive to all natures. Like this, any common dharma that is slightly examined can all accomplish the purpose with a special nature, because the special itself can accomplish the purpose. If that exists because it can accomplish the purpose, then even if one is deceived on a definite particular, there is no such thing as not being deceived on the general. Therefore, abandoning the particular that can accomplish the purpose is deception of all natures. For the particular, it is like a mirage abandoning the nature of water. For the light of a jewel, it is abandoning the object of the jewel. The knowledge of truth in a dream is abandoning time, because objects themselves change due to different objects, times, and forms. Therefore, knowing the opposite of an object that exists in a different object, time, and form, because they are mutually abandoned, one has not grasped contradictory objects. Therefore, clinging to the nature of three contradictions is deception of all natures. Therefore, having completely abandoned subsequent arising and so on, for conceptual consciousness, only inference is said to be a valid means of cognition. Similarly, knowing yellow is abandoning the form that can accomplish the purpose. Seeing trees walking is not its object. Two moons
