The meaning of what is said is this: Whatever substances can see all forms can also infer that unseen forms are similar to them; whatever does not see all forms, such as amla fruit and earth, cannot infer in the same way as seeing the unseen nature. Words are seen in two forms, made by humans and not made by humans, so it is not possible to investigate what the difference is that is not seen. If this is the case, then from seeing one's own mind-stream, one will know all the forms of the mind. Therefore, just as the nature of present understanding, and dependence on the senses, and everything connected with conceptual thought, is related to the ability to generate desire and so on, so it is in the future state as well. As I am, so are other sentient beings. Here, the unseen difference associated with the mind is also impossible elsewhere. Therefore, from where can detachment and omniscience be contradicted? Why is it not understood that all sentient beings have desire and so on, and are attached to objects of attachment, simply by relying on the mind and senses, and being the cause of words and so on? The answer is: The difference that is not made by humans is declared because there is no limb of establishment; but this has a limb of establishment. Therefore, just as they do not have a limb of establishing difference, so humans are not without a limb of establishing difference. Because for them, the cause of the arising of difference dependent on wisdom is not impossible. Here, the cause of the difference produced by the state of wisdom itself is the nature of detachment and omniscience, which is the limb of establishing difference. Therefore, from seeing the cause of difference in this state of wisdom, one understands the difference of the mind being detached and so on. Then, what is it like to have no difference in cause? The answer is: There is no difference in cause, that is, words and so on. The word "etc." refers to dependence on the senses and the mind itself.

And other holdings. Because it is only slightly in accordance with the Dharma, it possesses desire and so on, and it has a definite object, or others can also, beings will speculate that all aspects are the same. If the difference in cause does not exist, then it will be inferred in this way, this is its meaning. The difference in cause is not non-existent. Why? Because it is to be explained, because the difference of all the merits of the mind is seen, that is, because of the object of perception. Attachment and wisdom, etc., when holding their own objects, become weaker and weaker, and after completely transforming, they will become clear with time. The unclear aspect of what is to be taken will also appear clearly because of the habit of trusting. If so, then where does the difference come from? Because the cause of the difference is not known. Therefore, it is suspected that desire and so on themselves will become the cause, not other minds. To this, it is explained: What should be done well is habit, because from its difference, the recognition of difference can be seen. Because for all the merits of the mind, the cause of the merits of the mind is commonly seen as the difference of habit, therefore, with the nature of knowing selflessness, and holding all things, for other knowledge, there is also the difference of habit preceding. The cause is known through the difference of all the merits of the mind. By the power of habit, that clearly appearing aspect of selflessness, and the discrimination that arises in order to hold all things, that itself is the root of being free from desire and omniscience. Therefore, the impossibility of being free from desire and omniscience will transform in three ways: if it is impossible to have the aspect of selflessness and the discrimination of all things, or even if it is possible, if the merits of the mind will not become different, or even if there is a difference, if the cause of the difference is not known. Like this, through the previously spoken reason, it is possible to generate discrimination, and it is also known that habit is the cause of difference. Therefore, just as there is no incompleteness and obstruction, the collection from etc. is able to generate sprouts.
