The other is not. If it does not exist, it will not arise, therefore, what is the use of uncertainty in refutation? If you doubt the refutation, you will doubt the relationship. Therefore, it will not become a thing that understands the nature of the certainty of the relationship. Therefore, refutation only understands reliance on certainty. If you suspect that there is a measure of harm, then the refutation will not be certain. What is to be proved is that doubt itself is the object of reason, if it is certain or negated, then it is not what is to be proved. Therefore, if you suspect that there is harm to the object to be proved, then the reason is understandable, but not for refutation, because proving hidden things is the nature of the certainty of the relationship. Then, if your sect has unseen existence in dissimilar sects, but has remainder, how can it be wrong? The answer is: Through unseen, it is determined that there is no visible to be proved, and in some cases, even if there is no visible reason, it is established. There is no relationship with what is to be proved, that is, for all things that do not have to be proved, that is, for the hidden object, the reason that does not hold because there is no reason, therefore, doubt arises about the refutation. Therefore, there is no definite refutation in this. Because there is no relationship with what is to be proved. From the dissimilar aspect, there is no reason to determine the refutation, because this error with remainder exists, so it is wrong. If merely unseen is the cause of determining refutation, then having refutation also becomes a reason, but this is not recognized by the teacher as understandable. Showing the reason with refutation itself, that is, "the living, undead body" is the subject. "Not selfless", that is, preventing selflessness is to be proved. "Because it does not have life, etc., so life, etc. refutes", this is the reason. This reason of "having life, etc." is not seen in some self-holders, but is reversed in the selfless, so when the opposite is to be proved, it is called the opposite dharma having refutation. This if selflessness from the living body

If [non-self] does not revert, then the absence of life, etc., will also not revert, which would become an absurd inference. Now, in order to show that non-self objects such as pots are pervaded by the absence of life, etc., it is said, "non-self objects such as pots." Whatever is non-self is pervaded by not having life, etc., therefore, if [life, etc.] does not revert, then the non-self, which is to be pervaded, will also revert, and through this reasoning, abandoning non-self, one can realize self. In order to avoid the other's absurd inference pointed out in this way, it is said: If the non-perception of an invisible thing is not established, then things such as pots will also not be established as non-existent. By what would things such as pots become non-existent? It is not a visible self. Because non-self is not established. Because, from the reason, life, etc., do not revert from non-self. If doubt arises about non-self because life, etc., revert, then pervasiveness will not be established, that is its meaning. It is said like this because if non-self and the reversion of life, etc., and the self as something to be pervaded, and the thing as the pervader are established, then this absurd inference will occur. However, these are not established as something to be pervaded and something that pervades, because non-self itself is doubtful, and the self that is doubtful is also not visible. If someone thinks that things such as pots have already been admitted by you to be non-self, so it can be proved by that alone, then now say, "How is it?" If you think it is non-self because we admit it, then, since we think everything is non-self, how can self be proved? If it is said that this living body has already been admitted by others to be non-self, even so, it itself is not reliable, so it is to prove self for its sake, then, for the opponent, the fact that things such as pots other than the living body are non-self is also not reliable. Like this, it is unreasonable to prove self merely by the opponent admitting non-self, even if it is established it is superfluous, because in any case, the opponent thinks that non-self is the object of all things. Regarding this, if it is said that the non-self of the living body is not reliable, then,
