Action is also the opposite of that, and the cause of production is the absence of fire components. Therefore, just as all opposite actions can produce fire and smoke, all opposite actions will become understandable and understood objects. Because this is the reason for having arising and producing things, it is said, "It is not to eliminate doubts." If something can arise even without something, then it arises without that thing. Therefore, there is nothing that is necessarily produced from that thing. This is to say that because there is no necessary production, how can a place without cause and effect become an understandable and understood object? There, only some dharmas with opposite causes can produce things related to cause and effect and become objects of producing and arising things. Therefore, only some dharmas are produced and arising things, not all. To illustrate this, it is explained: Because only some things have the nature of cause and effect, therefore, how much is the nature that exists in the cause, which is established depending on mutual opposition? If there is none, the results of the relationship that exist in the cause, which will not arise without it, are the ones that are understandable. It is not the fire of sandalwood, etc., those that do not have the certainty of not arising without it, are not understandable. Furthermore, how is it that only the dharmas of the objects that will not arise without it are understandable? It is explained: Because that is their result. Therefore, that is the result of those dharmas, without a doubt, not others. Therefore, only those are understandable. Now, in order to explain which of the dharmas that are signs of the result are understandable, it is said, "Only those that will not arise without them." The special dharmas that exist in the result, which are the universal dharmas of universal existence that exist in the cause, without which they will not arise, only those are understandable. Not the universal dharma, things, and body.
