That which is unchanging and without cessation, whatever its nature, that is it itself. If that were the case, cessation and change would be unreasonable. A non-momentary thing, relying on co-action, is also not the cause of producing a result. What is said is that it is contradictory to rely on. The resulting consciousness, merely occasional, can therefore also infer that all phenomena are impermanent. However, what is said is that it can be understood through direct perception, and similarly, one can separately know the arising and ceasing of objects. First, arising is the separate knowledge of each part of what has become the characteristic of the object. Similarly, for the cessation of things that can be poured out like water, one can also separately know from the object such as the place away from it. The form aggregate has been explained. Similarly, pleasure and pain are also separately known through the direct perception of self-awareness. Therefore, arising and ceasing are also separately known. This speaks of the feeling aggregate. Sign, that is, the close realization of the mutual separation of things, and the nature of realization, is also separately known. This speaks of the perception aggregate. Because perception is the distinguishing of the common nature of the sign that distinguishes between the same and different kinds of things, which is the cause. The nature of realization that has arisen in this way is also established through direct perception, so its arising and ceasing are also established. In order to show the formation aggregate, it is said that attachment and so on. Attachment is clinging to all afflicted things. It is also separately known of arising and ceasing. Saying "etc." refers to anger and so on. Focusing on the object is knowing to grasp. It is also separately known of arising and ceasing. Here, merely grasping the object is consciousness, the nature of the sign that can distinguish between the same and different kinds, is perception, and the obvious clinging to the nature of realization is attachment. The forms of these three aggregates are completely separate.

Birth is this. Birth is called arising. Cessation is called destruction. Therefore, it is impermanent. Those five aggregates, which have such a nature, the nature of destruction, are able to establish that the destruction of such a nature of their own cause is able to arise. This is the statement of reason. Because it can prove that the nature of its own cause is such a nature, therefore, whatever arises in such a way, also like itself, can prove the nature of destruction. To say that is to connect oneself with that, that is, to relate. It is said like this: Because all forms and so on are seen as the nature of destruction, it can be inferred that all natures that can generate forms and so on can generate the nature of destruction. Therefore, the nature of destruction of forms and so on is not determined by the cause of forms and so on, but arises from everything. Therefore, all created forms and so on will be established as the nature of impermanence, so the pervasiveness is established. Therefore, all causes that can generate the appearance of things in this way, the undetermined nature of destruction, the causelessness itself, which can establish pervasiveness, will become a measure of harm. By establishing that the aggregates are impermanent, the realms and sources are also spoken of, that is, those realms and sources. For example, the five faculties of eye and so on are the five sources and five realms. Similarly, the objects are also the five sources and five realms. The focus of the object is the source of mind, and the three aggregates are the realm and source of dharma. The source of mind itself is also the seven realms of mind, from the realm of eye consciousness to the realm of mind consciousness, and the six realms of mind that are different because of different supports, whichever has just ceased, that which can generate the latter is called mind. Therefore, the creation or existence of the five aggregates, twelve sources, and eighteen realms is impermanent.
