It is because it has already arisen. For a barley seed that does not have such a cause, it will not become that nature. Therefore, this distinction arises from the distinction of causes themselves. If it is said that it is difficult to ascertain the energy of each cause separately, then why is it said that something that does not have such a cause will not become that nature? The answer is that it is also necessary to state that the energy of the cause is determined, and the energy of the cause is understood by its own essence. If it is said that the entity of energy cannot be known from the result, the answer is that it is not known through its own essence. The idea is this: seeing the rice sprout arising in dependence on the co-operative factors, the own-essence of its ability to produce it is known from the manifest and unmanifest. For that which does not sprout, it cannot produce it. Potency and impotency are also for knowing the causal potency and impotency. Therefore, it is said that the causal potency is determined by the mutual nature of the results, but not before the result is seen. If someone thinks that the distinction of nature is not made by the cause, but rather some things that depend on it, the nature of some things will become like that, while others will appear in other ways, then the essence of things is explained. The so-called "sudden" refers to some places, not depending on the cause, in some places, at some times, for some substances such as rice seeds, the nature of producing rice sprouts will not necessarily change. However, even so, because of existence, everything will become everything of everything. Similarly, for this distinction of the nature of destruction and non-destruction, it is also necessary to state by what cause these things will become the nature of destruction, and it is necessary to state some cause of certain nature. If someone thinks that we cannot clearly point out the certain cause, but because of existence, universality cannot be established, then it is explained that there is no nature in this world that can determine the essence of destruction, which is impossible. All things that have the nature of arising are

Therefore, all phenomena are for the sake of accomplishing that which possesses destruction. Because what is seen, destruction, is not a definite cause, that is its meaning. Let it be that the nature of destruction is not a definite cause, but it is not without a cause. Therefore, whatever arises, those will become the nature of destruction; and whatever forms, etc., do not arise, those will not become the nature of destruction. Therefore, only that which has the nature of arising possesses destruction, and not others. To this doubt of the opponent, therefore it is said, "Its arising," because by the power of arising, the nature of things does not appear, therefore arising is not the cause of destruction. If it is said that even without a cause, the nature is definite, then it is said, "For the causeless." The thought about this is this: those unarisen things that are separated from causes, because it is impossible to determine place, time, and nature, therefore there is no definite nature at all. Therefore, how is the own nature of visible forms, etc., not without a cause, and whatever is seen to have a cause, all of that is destruction itself, therefore the destruction of visible forms, etc., is not dependent on a cause, and destruction without a definite cause is also called causeless, therefore, whatever slightly produces, all of that produces destruction. Therefore, for this destructible thing, the so-called "cause," that is, from the gate of producing destruction and producing non-destruction, there is no difference in nature at all, and because there is no difference in the nature of the cause, the result will also become without the difference of destruction and non-destruction, therefore they are not the same. Just as the seeds of rice and the seeds of barley do not have the ability to produce sprouts for each other, but it is seen that they are produced by their own causes, thus showing that the power of the causes is different, similarly, if one infers that the causes are different, then forms, etc., will not be seen as the nature of destruction and non-destruction. Therefore, the destruction that is universally seen itself does not lead to the inference that the causes are different, therefore rice
