Because it does not understand the meaning by its own nature like a lamp. If something can be understood by means of something, then it does not understand the meaning without being indicated, like a lamp. Sound does not understand the meaning without being indicated in that way. Therefore, sounds and signs, etc., for the meaning to be understood, in the order of existence and non-existence, seeing and not seeing, these depend on memory. This is like illustrating a sign, for example, for the similar and dissimilar sides of a sign, etc., relying on seeing and not seeing these to understand through meaning. Sound is also for what is to be expressed and what is not to be expressed, seeing and not seeing depends on memory to explain. In the reason that depends on seeing, it is said that not seeing, because for the meaning to be expressed, the meaning cannot be understood from the sound that has not been seen, so the sound depends on seeing. Also, seeing expression without memory, sound cannot understand, because of that reason, seeing depends on memory. The reason for saying that not seeing depends on memory: if not seeing causes doubt, because of the reason for causing doubt, not seeing depends on memory. For what other than what is to be expressed, seeing causes doubt, then for what sound, it will also be doubted that this is not to be expressed, so it also depends on not seeing. Because if doubt arises for not seeing, not only does doubt arise, but in order to explain that even without not seeing, doubt will arise, it is said that doubt will arise for seeing a lot, at what time for many meanings seeing one sound, the speaker's obvious intention, for things other than one thing to be expressed, what is not seen by seeing is prevented, because there is not that, so the understander will also have doubts. If it is thought that such a thing, part of the thing seen and the sound together is the cause of doubt, it is said for one, for one thing seen

Because there is no doubt for the observer. This means that from uttering a single word, whoever sees multiple meanings in that word will become doubtful. Whoever sees one meaning in that word will not become doubtful. Therefore, a word associated with seeing multiple meanings is the root cause of doubt. If one suspects that the cause of becoming doubtful is the fault of the understander, then if one sees, the understander himself will become doubtful. This is what is being said: because the understander does not see multiple meanings, the understander who ascertains the meaning of that word, later becomes doubtful from that word itself because he sees multiple things. Therefore, it is not the fault of the understander, nor is it the nature of the word, but it is because of not seeing or hesitating. Now, in order to show the function of seeing through the method of establishing, it is said that because one sees as it is, one understands without exceeding seeing. Where does this come from? If it is said that the word of expression, if one sees and understands other differences from the difference that the speaker wants to express, then changing into other forms, adding the word to others, one will also mistakenly understand other meanings. This is what is being said: the difference that the understander sees in which difference, he understands that difference from that word. It is not the difference that the speaker wants to express. Because of that reason, one understands by seeing as it is. If one sees others, then that becomes another symbol, then one will completely cling to other meanings. Therefore, one understands by seeing as it is. Moreover, the word is dependent on seeing. The reason for understanding by seeing as it is, because of seeing, one clings to other meanings, and understands other differences. In order to show examples of those, "Kali" is mentioned. People in the U-Tsang region use the word "Kali" to express the difference of time, while people in the Kham region understand it as madness. If the people of U-Tsang and the people of Kham go to other places, then the people of Kham will also understand the difference of time by seeing as it is. The people of U-Tsang
