It is for the sake of complete combination. If the invisible is prevented, is that not also non-perception? If so, how can it be that all four combinations understand non-perception? If in some cases what is to be negated is itself invisible, then it will not be that in all cases non-perception is understood. For all these non-perceptions that establish non-existence and terms, one should know what is negated and what is non-perception. What is the nature? Those causes of perception that are different from the meaning of appearance, where they are not perceived, that is where they are, that is how it is. It should be understood that non-perception is the characteristic of perception, that is the meaning. Not only here, but also perception should be understood. Which ones? Those and those that are contrary to them. Thirdly, in the example of the non-perception of cause, the differences of the fruit to be negated are indicated by "those". In the two examples of contradiction, the contradictories to be negated are expressed by "contradictory to those". Adding the word "those" is to express the contradictory and its fruit. If, for the combination of perception of the contradictory fruit, what is to be negated is the cause and the contradictory, but not the fruit, then how can the sound of contradiction to those be expressed for what is to be negated? It is through indirect means, because it is contradictory to its cause, so it is also said to be contradictory, there is no fault. Perception and non-perception do not exist for the invisible. Therefore, it is said that it is permissible to see. It should be understood that only those visible that are contrary to those are so. Others are not, that is the meaning. Its meaning is that only the visible fruit and nature, and those that are contrary to the contradictory and the cause, are to be negated. The invisible is not to be negated, because only the visible can be perception and non-perception, therefore the invisible is not to be negated. If those visible are not established, and those contradictory to those visible are established, then, according to their respective situations, the difference is meaningless in those cases, others.

Because it is not appropriate to aim at the invisible, only the visible should be aimed at. From where does this certainty come that only visible things are to be negated, and that all non-apprehensions that prove the absence of what is to be negated are only to be considered as possessing the non-apprehension of the object to be negated and the non-apprehension of appearance? It comes from the force of the meaning. And what is that? It is stated as "for other things." For those objects and visible things that are separate from non-apprehension, the existence and non-existence of cause and effect, and contradiction, are not established. For those that do not possess the non-apprehension of objects and visible things, all three of these are not established. For example, existing things are understood as contradictory because they do not exist when other things exist. And existing things themselves are understood as cause and effect because they do not exist when other things do not exist. The reason for establishing contradiction, cause, and effect is also that the reason for determining existence and non-existence is the non-apprehension of visible and seeable things. Therefore, the determination of existence and non-existence that possesses the non-apprehension of visible and seeable things is the establishment of contradiction, cause, and effect. And such things are also of the nature of visibility. Similarly, non-existence is also composed of both, and both are only visible. Therefore, it should be understood that this explains the meaning that "what is pervaded is only the visible, not the non-apprehension that pervades." For example, even if there is no non-apprehension of sequence and non-sequence, things still exist. If there is no tree, there is no tree sap, which proves that the two dharmas are pervader and pervaded. And its non-existence also possesses the non-apprehension of appearance and appearance. Therefore, the pervaded is understood as visibility itself. This is what is being said: Even if what is to be negated is invisible at the time of combination, at the time of grasping the things of contradiction, cause and effect, and the things that pervade and are pervaded, the non-apprehension of appearance that exists, which is the non-apprehension of appearance with the object of the absence of effect and the pervaded, is what determines the non-existence of things. If it is not remembered at the time of combination, then the understanding of contradiction, cause and effect, and the things that pervade and are pervaded will not occur.
