Therefore. Just as the self-nature of the cause is pervasive, because without self-nature there is no cause. Just as there is no contradiction and no remainder, so too the effect pervades the cause, and because it does not arise without a cause, there is no contradiction with the cause, therefore there is no remainder of itself. Thus, the self-nature of the cause is spoken of. Such being the case, that which is non-apprehension is said to be the non-apprehension of self-nature. Just as the non-apprehension of the effect is, so too whatever appears that is contrary to the effect is said to be the non-apprehension of self-nature, thus it is connected. For the sake of illustrating that, it is said, for example, and so on. In that, the subject with a distinction, whatever has the cause of cold, but is not the direct perception of the one who realizes it, and the touch of cold is also not apprehended, but from a distant place, fire is the object of appearance, that is what this connects to. In that, by seeing the fire, the touch of cold is removed, and also by that, its cause is removed. If it is said, then the removal of the effect is not for understanding the absence of a cause? It is said that the totality of the substance of the cause, whatever is famous in the worldly expression, is spoken of in the freedom of the nature of the constant holding of one, not for understanding the non-apprehension of the effect, thus it is said, for example, and so on, that is its illustration. The non-apprehension of the cause also, in some particular places, is for understanding the absence of things. For example, when there is doubt about steam on the great ocean being smoke and other things from a distance, for the sake of certainty, such as establishing the absence of fire as a reason, in that unmoved great ocean, not even a spark of fire appears. Therefore, by the absence of fire, the absence of effect is established. The non-apprehension of self-nature, in the manner previously explained, is only self-absence, by that the absence of things in that place is not established, but it is permissible to establish the expression of the absence of an object. In this non-apprehension of self-nature, the non-apprehension of the effect and the non-apprehension of the contradiction of the effect, etc., are gathered by self-nature, therefore they also depend on some and are non-existent, thus it is said.
