Just as one abides by completely abandoning worldly affairs, similarly, things that possess the nature of decay also abide by being completely abandoned. Therefore, things and non-things are contradictory to each other. Things are those that do not confuse the absence of one another, and they are contradictory because of the reason that they do not confuse the absence of one another, but not in reality. Therefore, the cause of contradiction lies entirely in mutual abandonment. This must also be determined from invisibility, because what is invisible in a certain place can be determined to be non-existent there, but not otherwise. Determination through invisibility is also the case where something is clearly determined, such as blue being clearly determined as yellow. For an undetermined thing, one would doubt whether it exists in all things, such as a moment. It is not considered to be different from things like blue. Therefore, one doubts whether it is visible in all things, and as long as there is no inference, it cannot be determined to be invisible. Therefore, no one understands that the moment itself exists by being completely abandoned, and therefore, the nature of clear recognition, other than being invisible elsewhere, becomes the name of non-existence. If it is said that the definite aspect that can appear does not become the name of non-existence from invisibility, then how can one prevent meat-eaters, etc., from appearing on a pot, or how can one prevent permanence, which cannot accommodate appearance, from impermanence, that is, invisibility? Like this, permanence, which can appear, does not exist at all, therefore, what kind of undetermined other aspect should be prevented? Answer: It comes entirely from invisibility. How so? For this, why does non-appearance become invisibility? It is not to prove that there is no different meat-eater on the pot, but rather that it is not the same, that is, this pot that appears is not the nature of a meat-eater. Like this, starting from the appearance itself, one prevents the meat-eater, therefore, appearance is invisibility. For example, if this pot exists, then it will only appear, like this, acknowledging the appearance of the pot itself, if this is a meat-eater, then it will also appear. Similarly, the nature of appearance itself
