To show that it is inappropriate to establish terms for non-existence, and to argue and prevent faults, this is clearly the king's doctrine. Your words, which are neither reasonable nor logical, are similar to the king's doctrine. If one thinks that one cannot establish terms with words expressing "non-existence," then (I) answer: If one does not speak oneself, one cannot make others understand; even if one speaks to the king, one cannot avoid the fault of applying sound to "non-existence." Similarly, this is another fault: if one does not prevent the reason for "non-existence," then establishment will be obtained. Why? (I) explain: Where does the distinct self-nature of returning from "non-existence" exist? This is what is being said: To negate "non-entity" itself is to speak of something as an entity; therefore, one cannot negate both. Because one negates "non-entity," if it therefore becomes an admission of entity, then that is also unreasonable. Furthermore, how do you understand the return itself that returns from "non-existence"? What kind of combination of words do you wish to express it with? (I) explain: With the statement, "There is no return from non-existence." This is what is being said: If one says that return is not established from "non-existence," then this is showing that "non-existence" is the source for the return of return. Just as one is powerless in reliance on return, and therefore is not the source itself, so it is for the return of return. For return, the source itself is negated; but for the return of return, it is said to be the source itself; this is also doing something unreasonable. In order to show this meaning with verses, and more completely, (I) say: What is the "non-existence" without return, that itself is what is to be established. That is also showing that the entity exists; and for "non-existence," it is also thought to exist; and to show that there is no connection between "non-entity" and "non-existence," this is foolish, it is the behavior of a fool. If there is no return from that (non-entity), then one should apply reason to that "non-entity," and transform and combine the distinctions, that is, does one want to say it exists or does it not exist? Because the sound of return expresses the meaning of separation. If, again, if the sound of return expresses "non-entity," then, therefore, if there is no return for that (non-entity), then...

It becomes the basis of reasoning. If someone thinks that it is also unreasonable to apply reasoning to something that does not exist. The teacher said: Then, this itself is a negation, for example, this is called the negation of things. Therefore, why deny "no intention"? If the negation itself is negated, then negation is obtained. Negating negation is also affirmation, so it is impossible to perform double negation on something that does not exist, which is what is to be expressed. Now, in order to accumulate other faults, it is said, "Not understanding affirmation and negation," and so on. This is what is being said: The characteristic of the definition of words, the terminology arising from sound, cannot be applied to something that does not exist. Because for other things that do not exist, it cannot be said to exist or not exist. The thing that does not exist itself cannot be said to exist or not exist. Because the thing that does not exist, which is to be expressed by words with distinguishing boundaries, whether it is examined or expressed, all distinctions are those with the reason that the actor wants to express. The first distinction is also contained within the scope of the actor's ability. The sixth realm is also the remainder of the action and the actor preceding it. Therefore, because of the lack of ability, because there is no connection with the ability of the place, etc., the terms of affirmation and negation cannot be used for this non-existent thing, so it will inevitably fall into silence. Not only is it silent about things that do not exist, but all negative terms will also be interrupted. In order to explain this meaning, it is explained: Because of the contradiction, there is no negation for things that exist for the time being. Because the place and so on are unreasonable, the negation will not be applied to things that do not exist. Therefore, through this third way of non-existence, the meaning of negation will become invalid. If someone thinks that existence itself is negated depending on the place and time, for example, just as the existence of the vase itself is negated because it does not exist in that place or time. Therefore, in order to eliminate the other party's doubts, it is said, "If place and time," and so on. How does that thing exist? That is, the way in which the thing exists cannot be negated in that way. In what way it does not exist, it cannot be negated in that way either.
