This much is said: a moment itself is not other than the blue that is seen. Therefore, it is not that another is obtained, but only the blue that is seen is obtained. Having ascertained this, it is not that another part that is not a moment is not to be obtained. Here, it is not that the part of seeing itself is obtained, because if one sees something that is in another place, then being in another place is contradictory, because it does not exist. If that is the case, then the blue that is seen directly is coarse, and what is obtained is subtle. If it is said that coarse and subtle are also contradictory, that is also unreasonable, because a single thing itself, subtle and non-subtle are contradictory, because contradiction is on a single basis. When the nature of one is subtle, and many are coarse, then there is no contradiction at all. Thus, a moment itself is free from before and after, just as it appears to have many before and after. One atom is subtle, while many are coarse. If one place is blue, then many are also blue itself, if one atom is subtle, then will many also become subtle? It is true, when many that are subtle in their own nature see the nature of many, they appear coarse. Some are the dharma of things, called blue itself, and there is no difference from many. Some are the dharma of grasping, which is what appears to be the many that are to be grasped themselves. If one grasps a single moment, then there is no complete division of before and after, if one grasps many, then there is a complete division of before and after. That dharma is said to be the dharma of grasping because it appears when many are grasped by one consciousness, it is not the dharma of what is to be grasped. Similarly, when one grasps a single atom, it does not appear coarse, if many with many different places are grasped by one consciousness, then it becomes the ultimate of grasping many natures, and appears coarse, the connection of many appearing in one consciousness itself is coarse. Precisely because of this, it is not present in each individual. This is not analysis, however, it is dependent on sense consciousness and can be analyzed, because many appear when grasped by one, and because it does not exist in each individual. Therefore
