The arising of liking and disliking towards the same object is merely conceptualization, not sensory manifestation. Therefore, when contemplating the object of sensory manifestation, if one thinks that "it is unreasonable to categorize objects as self-awareness does," do not doubt, because sensory manifestation, even at the time of death omens, does not connect with states such as happiness, i.e., there is no subsequent connection. The mention of "etc." also includes times when one is affected by different diseases. Some people think that in a place where one should feel very happy, if one does not experience it all at once, but focuses on that object, then immediately the manifestation of the eye will give rise to an undesirable state. Similarly, when affected by different diseases, for the object of manifestation that would originally give rise to a manifestation of a happy state, now a manifestation of a painful state arises, and one becomes disgusted with it. Some say that at the time of death omens, white clothes appear blue, but this is unreasonable, because the manifestation that is considered true is an example of categorizing objects as self-awareness does, not a false perception. White appearing blue is a false perception, therefore the former is without error. In short, a disconnected, sequential state is not the object of the same continuum. For others, that is, for different continua, the sound of a song that makes deer happy with undifferentiated sound simultaneously, when heard by other kinds of beings, causes suffering. Similarly, the same scent affects humans and pigs, the same salty taste affects camels and humans, and similarly, people with phlegmatic and bilious constitutions experience happiness and suffering accordingly. Therefore, even though there is no difference, since they are the cause of generating happiness and unhappiness that is common to the senses of different kinds of beings, the realization of the object is only the essence of self-awareness. Others, such as blue...

Because blue and non-blue are contradictory. One thing does not become the nature of blue and non-blue, similarly, one thing does not become wanting and not wanting, because they themselves are contradictory. For one thing, many cognitions that appear as wanting, etc., arise simultaneously, therefore, things exist as they are experienced, they say. But that is not reasonable, because the aspect of the grasper itself knows stillness and non-stillness, happiness and suffering. The conceptualization of the grasped aspect is not. In that, the nature of happiness and complete grasping, in general, can only be seen in experience. It is unreasonable to say that the nature of this is something else that is established, this has already been said. Even so, if the nature of happiness, etc., becomes the aspect of the grasper, that is not made by external objects, only the nature of the conceptualization of the grasped aspect is made by external objects. The measure for this is experience, because there is no certainty that the grasped aspect is happiness or suffering, however, completely separated from the grasped aspect, as the grasping of the grasped aspect, as the basis of self-grasping, happiness and suffering can be seen. This will also be explained in this discourse at the appropriate time. Therefore, how did the teacher think that happiness, etc., are not made by external objects and say it, and as experienced, wanting and not wanting are the conceptualization of the aspect of the grasper, not the conceptualization of the grasped aspect. Here, it is not thought that wanting is what should be wanted, because wanting is the nature of conceptualization, and it is thinking of wanting, etc., that are known in sense consciousness, such as saying the happiness of the sense. Stillness that should be experienced is also what becomes the aspect consciousness of the sense, not the manifest wanting. Because things have no difference, even if they are different, as experienced, establishing the difference as the nature of the aspect of the grasper has no similarity to things.
