Moreover, just as the aspect apprehended by the later consciousness appears to be severed as if it were the nature of an external object, so too does the earlier consciousness appear to have the aspect of being apprehended as if it were the nature of an external object. Therefore, just as it is similar to an external object, so too is it similar to the aspect of the earlier consciousness. Therefore, it is not merely because there is similarity, but if it also depends on the apprehended aspect, then it is not established that in the immediate consciousness, consciousness appears as the apprehended itself. For the immediate consciousness does not appear as the apprehending aspect itself, because the appearance is not certain to be its nature. It is only the appearance as the apprehended aspect, because the appearance is certain to be similar to the appearance of the earlier consciousness. When all self-nature is certain, it is not established as the apprehended itself. Because the appearance of consciousness is not certain to be the nature of a momentary blue, even so, just as one infers similarity to a momentary blue, although the appearance of blue is not certain to be consciousness itself, nevertheless, because the appearance of the later consciousness is certain to be similar to the appearance of the earlier consciousness, it would follow that there is no certainty of an object. If this consciousness has no object to be experienced, then because it depends on it, it will not become experienced. If there is nothing to be cut, then there will be nothing to cut, thinking thus, he said, "Then now this." Now that you have destroyed the certainty of an object, this which is established by experiencing which object, cannot be refuted. If you refute without reason, how will it become prior to conceptualization? If you do not refute it, then the meaning of experience will be certain, therefore, you must also establish an object, therefore, we establish an object, and it should also be accomplished through it. The other party says, even if there is experience, when the object to be experienced is refuted, there is no apprehending self-nature. However, the aspects of the apprehended and the apprehender are nearly false. Even if these two are negated, experience is established, experiencing joy and sorrow, etc.

It is not a complete prohibition. Therefore, since the aspect of the apprehended and the aspect of the apprehender are very confused, we do not have any object to establish, and we have also said that it is not the prohibition of experience established by experience. We also rely on other ways of experience to have this name called the experiencer, which is only after "after," that is, we want to understand after others have established it, not to be established by us, and reason cannot establish it either. Therefore, if we want to understand, but because there is no reason, we cannot understand. Now saying "I saw this blue" or "I heard the voice of a bad person," this shows the state of determination. From where does it come from? That is, from the cause of the arising of the similar, and the knowledge of determination of what, that is, the realization of attachment, the one with the aspect mentioned earlier arises, seeing and hearing become the cause of determination, those are the experience of the meaning of the determined object. The idea is: from things similar to people, it is related to it, and through that determination, knowledge can also be established as the holder of the object, therefore, because it is similar to people, and related to this, because of the determination, holding that is this. If you say so, this is someone else's question. To refute, make a similarity, alas, which is close to the object and consciousness, that connection, that determination, isn't that which is made as the object observing? Just like what through what is the seeing of that, this is observation. The meaning is that this seeing or hearing, this itself is the definitive establishment of the object of experience, not others, and what can be established is also the determination itself, not others. Establishment and what can be established

Regarding the views of "Ra," etc., this very certainty is not established. It is not the case that certainty is produced by relying on some connection with an object that has been experienced in this way. However, if such certainty arises solely from the distinctiveness of the nature of the experienced consciousness, then why is it said that certainty is produced by relying on some experience that is close to the object of knowledge? In response to this doubt, it is said: This certainty of the observer, that is, the experiencer, arises from the experience of the connections of those objects and consciousnesses, that is, it arises with the object as its object. This is said because, when certainty arises, the question is not directed at the producer, but at the object. If certainty arises for an object that has not been experienced, then the term "experience," which is understood by means of direct perception, will become invalid. What is called experience is also the experience of the consciousness that has that object as its object, and the experience of that consciousness also arises from the two, and the two are the same. Therefore, by what distinction, when certainty arises after following experience, will it be determined as a blue object? This is not the immediate cause. Therefore, the similar meaning is, how is consciousness determined without seeing that the certainty of the object of experience is different? It is not that, by what, is the inherent ability to produce the previous consciousness called how it arises? Therefore, what is called experiencing the connection means definitely understanding the definite object, not the cause of arising, this view is established. Regarding the certainty that arises later, which does not exist at that time, and which has not been experienced.
