Because it appears as such, it is known as the maker, but not directly. One's own karma, that is, the karma called "object." Such a statement is because all dharmas have no maker. If what is to be proven and the maker are not different, then how can it be a similar maker? It is said, because of "that," that is, by the power of similarity, that is, through experience. Because experiencing the similarity that abides in knowledge, is the knowledge certain to understand the meaning of blue? Therefore, the distinction of similarity is the maker. Even if distinguishing through certain knowledge, the knowledge itself is the result, therefore, the part of understanding is the result, and the part of similarity is the prover. In order to explain the previously non-existent lord, this is an intervening verse that has not been abandoned. The so-called "by this" refers to explaining the reason for the connection, because it is said that there is no other. Abandoning the senses and encounter, looking at the meaning, and the specific knowledge, these are not valid cognitions. From that, that is, from the senses and so on, experiencing the definite karma and connection of blue and yellow and so on of knowledge. This is indeed blue itself, such a nature cannot be established, because it is not the abiding of distinction. Therefore, because there is no reason for certainty and connection from those, it is not valid cognition. In this meaning, was it not already said that it was not its nature before? Why say the senses and so on again? It is said, previously it was said that the senses and so on, whether they are individual makers or the commonality of all meanings, if they are not the nature of knowledge, then they are not understanding, therefore they are not makers, so only becoming the nature is the maker. Now it is said that if the senses themselves are a commonality, and the knowledge of the specific and the possessor of specificity and so on cannot be established separately, and it will not become another fault to be explained, then how can the individual differences become makers? Because it is like this, it is not a repetition. If these are producers, then how is it not the establishment of distinction? As a result

If it is able to produce transformation, then it is not an establishment, what is the reason for this? Because the statement "not interrupted" expresses the reason. The meaning here is: because the establishment made for understanding things depends on other establishers besides these producers. Therefore, since that other dependent interrupts these, that which is dependent is the establisher, not these, therefore it is not valid cognition. If one thinks like this, even if it is an interruption, then how is it not valid cognition? The answer is: because the excellent agent, the agent with special characteristics, cannot be established. This is what is being said: all agents are not valid cognition, however, if it is an excellent agent, these are interrupted by other dependents, so compared to other agents, there is not the slightest excellence, then how can it become valid cognition? Valid cognition is the establisher, and these are also establishers, so what is the use of excellence? The answer is: all agents are close to the thing to be established, but for what is called "this is the final differentiator," what difference will lead to different actions, that is called the final differentiator. All agents are differentiators, but the differentiation that is dependent on other differentiators, if there is no interruption for the thing to be established, then the difference will lead to the thing to be established being different, and that is also the final differentiator, therefore it is expressed by "agent." That establisher who has transformed in that way is excellent. The meaning is: if all agents are differentiators, even so, the final differentiator is the excellent establisher, and the excellent establisher is the agent, and the agent is also valid cognition. Therefore, even if there are sense faculties and so on, if there is no difference between objects and objects, then the other differentiator of this knowledge is the agent, not the interrupting sense faculties and so on.
