If it is said that at that time, using two characteristics to eliminate two, what is the point of trying to eliminate others that are not included by the unprecedented characteristic? Therefore, the knowledge that appears as perception is only these, namely, with conceptualization and without conceptualization, this is what is intended to be expressed. Both of these are also summarized by the word "non-deceptive." If "non-deceptive" is not mentioned, and "non-conceptual" is mentioned, then only conceptualization will be excluded. Even if "non-deceptive" is mentioned, in order to exclude both, saying "non-conceptual" is the meaning of excluding distorted cognition. Because it is in terms of correct knowledge, therefore, cutting off the knowledge of dreams is established, but in order to cut off other bright appearances that are desired to appear without deception, therefore, "non-deceptive" must be said, this is already clearly stated the characteristic. Saying "knowledge of dreams" is because it is the time of knowledge of dreams, therefore, saying "non-deceptive" is necessary in any case, this is to show this meaning. Also, how can conceptualization appear as perception because things do not appear? The answer is, because which perception has things appearing, that is like that, I and the teacher have already said. How do you know that? Because it is said, "If not," if there is no that thing, then the aspect of grasping the aspect of that perception will disappear, that is, it will regress. Because this has already said that the appearance of perception follows and regresses with things, and which is the appearance of knowledge

That has already been extensively explained in that. Since it does not correspond to reality, not only is conceptual thought like direct perception, but also near-misconception is like direct perception, even if it arises from the sense faculties. Explaining the reason for arising from the sense faculties: Because there is no difference between what arises from the sense faculties and what is misled by others. Misconception is not only in the mind, but some of what is near-misconception also arises from the sense faculties, and the word "also" has this meaning. Why does it arise from the sense faculties? Explanation: Because there is no difference between it and the consciousness arising from the sense faculties other than what is called misconception. Because there is no difference, this misconception arising from the sense faculties is also like direct perception, because of what? Because it does not correspond to reality, because this misconception's appearance is not in accordance with reality, therefore the appearance does not depend on reality, so it is like direct perception, just like conceptual thought. Even if the appearance of hair is not an appearance that corresponds to reality, isn't it believed that some of the misleading consciousness arising from the sense faculties, such as some moons, arise in places where they exist? Therefore, why is it said that all appearances do not correspond to reality? It is said because of deception. For example, because there is no object outside as it appears, just as the consciousness that appears as hair has no object at all, similarly, the appearance of two moons, etc., also has no object, because there are no two moons and walking trees outside as they appear. Therefore, the appearance of delusion is deceptive and misleading, and also because it does not correspond to reality, it is like direct perception. Because of deception, saying that it is not an appearance of reality, this also explains the delusion of consciousness called dream consciousness, because of deception, saying that it is not an appearance of reality. Its meaning is this: Although not mentioning non-confusion, thereby eliminating conceptualization and delusion, there is not too much excess, but mentioning non-conceptualization is done to eliminate wrong conceptualization, that is the meaning, in reality.

It is to eliminate discrimination. The illusion of seeing two moons, etc., is definitely not produced by the senses. However, this is consciousness. For the object of the moon, it is a numerical illusion; for the torch, it is a shape illusion; for the trees, it is an action illusion. These numbers, etc., are only the scope of fabrication. Also, the clarity of these appearances should be viewed as a mirage being mistaken for water, as some understand it. But that kind of understanding is not reasonable. What arises from the senses, for what is born from the senses, existence and non-existence follow. Because it is the occasion of sensory knowledge, whatever follows the existence and non-existence of the senses is produced from the senses, and that is its own characteristic, abiding in its own nature. Because that is also the same for the knowledge of the second moon, etc., it is unreasonable to consider it as consciousness. For what has the reason for what name, it should be called by its name. For example, for a substance with a difference in shape, a vase with the ability to hold water, etc., it is called by the name of a vase. For the knowledge that appears as two moons, etc., there is also a reason to call it by the name of what is born from the senses, that is, the existence and non-existence of the senses follow. Because it is unreasonable to have no reason, the use of names is necessarily related to having a reason. If it is not used, then it will depend on other reasons, so it will not be seen as merely having that reason. Therefore, in the inconsistent aspect, the universally existing independence is not observed. If only that reason is reversed, then existence is necessarily related to use, so it is a reason of nature. If another person does not think it is born from the senses, then how can he think that it follows the existence and non-existence of the senses? If the function of the senses exists, then how can it be seen? For the time being, from the senses arises the unerring knowledge that appears as one moon, and from that, when discrimination that appears as two moons arises, the senses exist.
