Whatever becomes special through meditation has the potential to become clearly visible. For example, like the mind consciousness that appears as a special manifestation of things like fear. That which becomes special through meditation is generally capable of making things appear clearly. If it exists, but cannot become clearly visible, then the power of meditation would be abandoned. Therefore, it cannot become clear even once, but only sees things like fear. For those who doubt that it has no power, there is no other reason. Therefore, since the pervader does not appear, and it turns back from the inconsistent side, it is the nature of reason itself. For the mind consciousness of impermanence and other aspects in us and others, meditation can also become special. This is also not an unestablished reason, because, like us, the consciousness with aspects such as impermanence, which is the object of all things, is indeed possible, as proven by our experience. When meditating on it, the ability to continuously accomplish it is also understood through experience. The cause of meditation, compassion, is also possible for some. The next world is also proven by others, therefore the time of meditation also exists, and it is not impossible. Therefore, at such a perfect time, the consciousness that is combined with habit is shown to be the complete cause for the arising of clear mind consciousness. Because proving that there is no reason is said to be a measure of some existence. For example, if this collection of causes exists and there is no obstruction, then that result will definitely occur, which is the meaning of existence. Because there is no reason to prevent it, it will also exist, which is not the meaning of existence. Because the inference that the collection of causes produces a result is the measure of existence. Just as this is included in the category of the nature of reason, the production of a result from a collection of causes will be shown to be right here. Even so, some

If someone says that the manifestation of the mind's consciousness is the nature of ignorance, then how can it be purified, and by what means can it be manifested? This is also clear regarding what was said. Because it appears clear through meditation, therefore there is no conceptualization. And, because it is something completely measured by valid cognition, it is also not deceptive. Therefore, how can that which is manifested through meditation be the nature of ignorance, clinging to meaningless things? Furthermore, consciousness is not necessarily clinging to things, because it also clings to meaningless things. Nor is it necessarily clinging to meaningless things, because sensory consciousness also clings to things. Therefore, consciousness itself does not have the ability to make it clear, so it makes it clear without distinction between existence and non-existence. Because it is clinging to knowable objects with differences in characteristics, existence is clinging from its own nature. Because there is the nature of what can be clung to and the consciousness that clings, then why doesn't it cling? When the clinger exists and the thing also exists, not clinging to the existing thing is because it is determined from the cause. For example, a lamp with the nature of brightness, by the power of the cause, illuminates the things nearby. Therefore, clinging to things with nature is because it comes only from its own essence, so it is established that consciousness with essence is its own essence. Non-existence is from the emptiness of the aspect and nature, not clinging to its own essence. Nor is it for other reasons, because other reasons are not seen. However, the appearance of flower-things similar to experienced things is shown by consciousness on itself from the habit of mistaken clinging. Because that which becomes the previous goer, the meaningless thing, the beginning of clinging, and the habit of experiencing things and mistaken clinging have no beginning. Therefore, for clinging to things, the habit of mistaken clinging is the cause. When that suchness is definitely realized, it is the dharma of reversal.
