Sumo! With three examinations of up and down, there are three aspects of dissimilarity. Here, because it is the time to distinguish the dharma of the subject, there is no unestablished case. The reason of above and below. Left and right are contradictory. The four corners are common uncertainties. The center is uncommon. The first edge of that itself and the dispute of the center are two. The remaining three edges establish the opposite. The four aspects are nature and result. Measurable is made, impermanent. Made is life etc., born from effort. Impermanent is not effort and tangible. It is known as nine reasons. Constant and impermanent, born from effort, constant and with self, constancy itself, not born from effort and impermanent constant, are widely known as the dharma to be established. This is a summarizing verse. Isn't it that without reason it will change? This is because similar aspects also become dissimilar aspects. Why? Because all dharmas, that is, the dharma to be established, have aspects that are dissimilar to other parties. Because they are different from what is to be established. And those distinctions related to it also become other dissimilar aspects. Related to other dharmas are jaundice or overeating, or length, etc. What is intended to be said is born from the Brahmin caste. If it does not rely on it and does not exist, then jaundice etc. will become non-Brahmins because they are different from Brahmins. In other places, that is, in similar aspects, etc. Or other dharmas. Distinguishing by the establishment of non-it, that is, showing that the dissimilar aspect is not the similar aspect. Why? Because what is intended to be said is not related to the dharma to be established, so it is distinguished, because it is for understanding, so it does not exist in the characteristics etc. that are not related to it. It is impossible to have such a form, that is, only the general characteristic without being related to other dharmas. Because it has the dharma that is intended to be said, and does not abandon other dharmas, so it becomes a similar aspect. However, with that dharma, that is, with the dharma to be established that is intended to be said.

The reason for saying "exists" is that some consider these to be arguments themselves, while others refute it. Thus, although some here do not argue, it also shows that there is a need to illustrate with other examples. The so-called "newly produced knowledge is the impermanent result" is that sound is the impermanent result. Here, the newly produced knowledge proves that the cause is impermanent, therefore, its cause—sound—is also impermanent, so those who claim that the sound of the Vedas is permanent will question it. The so-called "previously existing" refers to the permanent sound existing before the newly produced knowledge. In this way, because sound is permanent, its result—knowledge—will sometimes not change. If it is said that knowledge sometimes changes due to the effort to produce sound simultaneously, then, for this, due to the person's throat and intention, etc., the so-called "newly produced knowledge" should be linked to "without approaching it." Because there is no approach, the result will not be produced with certainty. The so-called "obstacle" is to exclude it. The approach should also be linked to the senses, because it does not combine the senses. The so-called "impossible to obstruct" is because the self-nature that knowledge points to or does not point to is permanent. The so-called "will not be divided into pieces" is that it will not turn what can be heard into what cannot be heard. The so-called "make a slight distinction" refers to thinking that it is the same as the wall of the same period. The so-called "is the cause of cognition" refers to things that are beneficial to the object, etc., and will eventually become power. The so-called "not to be newly produced" refers to the permanent sound. The so-called "not worth expecting" refers to simultaneous production. Why? Because the self-nature of inability is permanent. The so-called "those who are able to produce simultaneously" refers to impermanent things such as objects and senses. If there is an obstacle, such as a wall, there is no appearance, or because the cause is not close. The so-called "that kind of obstacle that was previously able to produce?" If it is not obstructed, it cannot be obstructed. Even if it is obstructed, if there is no obstruction, knowledge can still be produced, so it is said "if there is an obstruction," it should also be understood that the projection of the cause is exhausted, leading to interruption.
