Because it is close to the meaning. If it is said to exist in the similar side, then the subject of the example has already been explained. This explanation clarifies that understanding the subject with the word "dharma" is also close because the subject is mentioned. It is established in the subject to be established, and when the dharma of the example is closely questioned from there, it is to avoid effort because it is said to exist in the similar side. Because the word "side" is mentioned, it will be well established, because the branch of the side is the subject, thus attaching the general branch to the small part, it is easy to understand. Just as the scholar's argument, the general is to be established, dharma or subject is the main, the name is also one side, so it is close to what is to be established. If it is said that the reason is what establishes, and it also only establishes the subject to be established, what establishes is also only its dharma. Therefore, do not closely establish it. If you say so, then in order to completely avoid the difficulty of understanding even if the meaning is understood, if you grasp the meaning of what establishes, then there will be doubt about the subject of the example. Also, this word is not limited to the previous necessity. Directly or indirectly, it is from non-existence to direct perception. From others it is indirect, because there is nothing to be established, so the pervasion is reversed, so it is explained through indirectness that it cannot be understood. This self-nature refers to the situation where it exists, does not exist, and both exist on the side. According to the situation, reason, etc., must determine the reason and pseudo-reason. Why should it be determined? Because it establishes one's own understanding, that is, the three self-natures of the side, and the three self-natures of following and reversing, establishing one's own self-nature understanding, must be determined by direct perception and inference. If it is established by valid cognition that the dharma on the side does not exist or is hesitant, then that is the unestablished pseudo-reason. The opposite of this is the reason. If the dharma of the side is established, if the remaining two ways are not established, then it is contradictory. If there is hesitation about these two ways, then it is uncertain. Non-existence in the dissimilar side is not established, that is common.

It is uncertain. If there is doubt about it itself, it is also uncertain. If it is said that the subsequent and the opposite are wrong, it should also be regarded as a seemingly valid reason. If it is the opposite and does not hold true for one thing, then it also exists in things, and this should also be understood. Doubting the truth of these three modes, whether complete or incomplete, or reversing them, that is, not understanding the true situation, and understanding something that exists elsewhere as existing elsewhere. With such characteristics, one should argue for what is desired, thereby establishing it. One should argue for what is not desired, that is, refute it, because of not understanding, that is, because of being incapable. Uncertainty is the nature of the subject, that is, things that contradict the reason will be established as the nature of the subject, because they are capable of establishing. Uncertainty is because it cannot be established. Because it is not necessary, it is not mentioned. Non-establishment itself is not the nature of the subject. Uncertainty refers to the certainty of existence or non-existence in similar and dissimilar sides, which is relative. Even if life and other audible things are determined as one in things, if the knower doubts, it will become an uncertain fault, and the fault of doubt is also equally uncertain in the thing itself, because it becomes uncertain only through that fault. Saying it that way is also to refute it here, that is, if the proponent puts forward an uncertain argument, and the opponent says "This is not that," then this is also a refutation, not just reversing the views of others. Whether the proponent or the opponent, if they doubt the two or one mode of reason about things other than those determined by measuring the amount of their own knowledge, then they doubt in similar and dissimilar sides. If the nature of the subject is not established, then it will not contradict uncertainty, so two are mentioned, not three. One mode is reversed, that is, it is reversed when it does not exist in the dissimilar side. Hoping or the obstacle to hoping, understanding it that way is because there is no ability. Therefore, even when saying "Therefore this is uncertain" to refute, it is uncertain for this reason.
