If that single number that one wants to express also does not exist, then one would not want to take this non-existent thing as an object. Then what would one want to take as an object? This object will also be explained below. Because the unmistakable contradiction arising from the power of things themselves is impossible, therefore, if the teacher explains the two valid cognitions, direct perception and inference, as harming both sides, then for that impossible thing that serves as the basis for reasoning, it is said that inference is impossible. If inference is possible, then it will definitely harm both sides, this is what the teacher said. Or, the reason for saying "uncommon" is that it is a worldly expression, and the teacher said that for the thing itself that is expressed as a term, there is no inference. Therefore, for the meaning that appears in conceptual thought, one can express and prove it with inference, but not for external things. The objects are different, inference harms external things, while fame belongs to the object of conceptual thought. If there is no inference for things themselves, how should it be explained? If the moon with a rabbit is not considered a thing itself, then anything called a name should not be considered a thing itself, because the moon with a rabbit is actually expressed as a thing itself, like a vase, if one says so, then that example is also not established. If conceptual thought is also uncommon, how should it be explained? It is the same here, because it is the object of conceptual thought, so it can only be expressed. Uncommonness itself is not like that, because in the object of conceptual thought, it can be seen that camphor and so on are established to be expressed by the word moon, so this example is established. Therefore, the teacher said "entering through the power of names" and so on. If it is not a thing itself, then why? If the meaning of that word is definitely established in some aspect, then that meaning is established by the thing itself, if it does not depend on the thing itself, then it is not. If one admits that the meaning of the word is established through fame, then for the moon with a rabbit, there will be no contradiction in the meaning of the word, because it is fame, just like camphor and so on are the meaning of the word moon. If camphor and so on are pleasing and are cool things

If asked, why is the word "moon" used to express it? The answer is: because "that" is mentioned, if camphor, which is something that cools the body, can be expressed by the word "moon," then if the moon with a rabbit does not have things like cooling the body expressed by the word "moon," then even if directly expressed, there is an obstacle for the one with a rabbit, because this is allowed, so there is no fault at all. The "also" mentioned here refers to this fame "also." If obstructing those things that can be expressed, it will become contradictory, that is, it will become a reversed argument. The previous ones are not completely so. The so-called "sound, meaning, reason, commentary," such as being called "moon" because it cools the body. If obstructing such sounds, saying that because it does not cool the body, it cannot be called moon, then there is no contradiction, because there is no disagreement, this is the work of that teacher. Or use the reason mentioned above. The so-called "possessor of the meaning of true meaning" refers to the possessor of the meaning of sound in reality, which is also the same as that. The so-called "as before" is like excluding by inference. Just as the difference excluded by fame has no fault, in order to show the difference excluded by direct perception, it is said "also shows by direct perception." The so-called "various characteristics" refers to genus, action, and quality, etc. The so-called "no other relationship" is because genus, etc., and things do not have a relationship of becoming entities, so it is not dual, that is, the thing itself is genus, etc., therefore it is said. It is not dual of dharma and dharmin, appearing separately in various forms, which means that dharma and dharmin are different. Consciousness cannot see, that is, by direct perception. Therefore, even if obstructing those things that cannot be seen, it is not excluded by it, because it is not manifest to it. The so-called "if obstructing that" refers to what is manifest to direct perception. The so-called "for that meaning" refers to distinguishing the things taken by direct perception. The so-called "remainder refers to the opposite characteristic" refers to the differences that have been understood, but because it is not the nature of the thing itself, it is a generality, that is, it is the object of conceptual thought, not the scope of activity of sensory consciousness. One's own characteristic, because it is not expressed by sound in various ways, therefore it is the sound of
