It becomes clear because it is empty of being unclear, because it is only clear. If it is said that it is unclear because it is obscured or because it is far away, then, precisely because it is one, it is not obscured either, because being obscured would not make it unclear, because being unclear is empty. Because it is far away, it is not reasonable that it is unclear in between, just as before. If it is said that there is no cause for seeing in what is in between, then the nature of seeing is also clearly related to the senses and its own basis, thereby making the common clear. If it is the same commonality, then what exists here also exists, because there is no difference in commonality, so it is with a basis. It is also not unrelated, that is, what is in between is unrelated, and the clear being related is not one. If it is said that the clarity existing in the common object and the combination of the senses are unclear, then the common basis and object are the same, which is seeing, and the object existing in between is not the same, which is not seeing, so the basis becomes the same and not the same. Saying that contradiction is also a statement means that the same and different objects, for the common one, are not only contradictory, but also cause doubt in one, that is, for the common one, it causes doubt about existence and non-existence. The two that are related to contradictory dharmas are the two dharmas that are definitely pervaded by contradiction. And here, it is only one's own nature and all things that are simultaneously and completely related and to be taken by the senses. For one, those do not exist, that is, for one dharma, the objects of the sign that do not confuse contradictions do not enter. If that is the case, then how is it that the school of Dignāga, having entered from the power of objects, shows non-confusion of contradictions? The school, etc., is mentioned. Only a direction, that is, without making an entry from the power of objects, but thinking that both are only the same as what is famous in the scriptures, he spoke. Here, others quote the intention of the school of Dignāga in this way, that is, the example given by the school is perfect, because the action itself is the reason, and the sound itself is non-confusing of contradictions.

It is said that this is because they intend to show that it is merely an appearance of a reason. The term "sound itself" refers to the difference that is the opposite of the clarity of sound in general, and that the general itself is to be understood by the senses, and these three themselves are signs, which are accepted by the Particularists and this analysis as not being valid means of cognition. If it is said that since "what is made" itself is well-known from the scriptures of the Particularists, the two are similar, and therefore it is not contradictory and not confusing, then "the case of what is made" means that the nature of what is made does not depend on the scriptures, because even those without scriptures can understand it through valid cognition, so it is not arranged by the scriptures. Therefore, they are not similar. If it is said that sound itself is also an object, something to be grasped, then it is mentioned that "what is to be proven also depends on a relationship," even if sound itself can be established by valid cognition, the connection with permanence can never be established, because it is observable, and for permanence, there is also no certainty of concomitance and contradiction, because upon examination, there is no contradiction where there is no contradiction, and if there is no contradiction, concomitance cannot be established. Thus, having shown the detailed explanation of the characteristics of inference for the sake of others, and the promise and the reason, now, in order to show the detailed explanation of the example, "Because of the three characteristics of the reason." etc., are mentioned, the reason is the cause of understanding what is to be proven. Just that is enough to generate inference. Examples are not stated separately. Like this, the example is included in the category of reason, and is not established as a separate sign. Just that is enough to understand the meaning, that is, understanding what is to be proven is the generation of inference. If it is said that since the example is not established separately, why is it not shown in order to understand the characteristics of the example? "In order to understand the meaning" means that by showing the characteristics of the reason itself, the characteristics of the example can also be understood, like this, the characteristic of the reason is: without difference, that is, without separation by the relationship with what arises from it and its own nature. Otherwise, that is, other than showing the example
