The reason why it is said that vases, etc., do not have wisdom, etc., is also because of selflessness. If asked: Is it because of selflessness that vases, etc., do not have wisdom, etc.? The answer is: No, it is said that it is not because of selflessness that there is no wisdom, etc. Why? Because for wisdom, etc., the ability of things other than the self is not seen. How is that? For the time being, this is dependent on the order, that is, the order of knowledge, senses, and objects. The previous consciousness is the immediately similar one. Some people think that there are other causes of knowledge, and think that there is a constant dharma, even if the objects are not completely close, knowledge will arise in all objects at the same time, so it is inferred that there is a "mind". They say that if it is not because of the power of the only "mind" that knowledge arises in order, then it will lead to knowledge arising to all objects at the same time. In order to refute this view, it is mentioned that "that is also abandoning other objects". It means that it is not because the constant "mind" has no ability, but because the incapable previous knowledge abandons other objects, wanting to focus on one object, so other consciousnesses arising from other objects will not arise at the same time. Because constant dharmas cannot do meaningless things simultaneously or sequentially. Connect "from harmful things, later consciousness will produce confusion". Use two "etc." words to connect "from unclear things, unclear things will arise" in order. "Senses, etc." refers to objects. "Wisdom" is also said to be a condition of the senses, etc. That is also because they are the masters of the senses, etc. Merely relying on "those" refers to the causes of the senses, etc. "This" refers to the fruits of wisdom, etc. "The nature of things" refers to wisdom, etc., which are the fruits, and follow their own nature of things, that is, existence and non-existence. "Having" means that the dharma as the cause is only related to those dharmas that come and go with it. "This itself is the cause" means that the one that produces the fruit is itself the cause, just like other dharmas that follow it. Therefore, the one that produces the fruit is itself the cause.

Moreover, if one does not see that "being" and examines other causes, it will lead to the fault of the cause being inexhaustible. The so-called "where there is, there is" refers to the fact that wherever there are seeds, land, water, temperature, etc., there is a cause. The so-called "other than that" refers to things other than seeds, etc. Because of the doubt about the previously mentioned sequence, that is, following and reversing, the things to be heard and life, etc. are also equally confused, and life, etc. are not understandable. The so-called "reversal is the reason for confusion" refers to what can be heard. The so-called "how is it confused" refers to the proponents. In this regard, the so-called "it is not possible to reverse only from the non-concordant side" refers to the things to be heard themselves, which are also reversed from the non-concordant side, such as vases, etc., which are the concordant qualities that establish impermanence. Similarly, the so-called "this" means that the things to be heard themselves are the same as returning from the concordant qualities. The so-called "this" refers to this life and so on. The so-called "because there is no following in the concordant qualities, isn't it saying?" means, didn't you say earlier that there was no following? In this way, life, etc. originally do not exist in the concordant qualities, and what does not exist in the concordant qualities is the same for other things to be heard, because it is originally following in the concordant qualities. In addition, it is the same even if life, etc. are said to be absent in the discordant aspects. The so-called "with two negations" refers to "only in the discordant aspects" and "no, not". The so-called "realization" refers to realizing that it exists in the concordant qualities. The so-called "elsewhere" refers to not truly understanding the true meaning of existence in the concordant qualities. The so-called "because there is no distinction" means that if there is no distinction between the concordant qualities, then saying "only in the discordant aspects there is no" becomes a kind of inversion, because there is no need to definitely grasp the things that should be distinguished. If you want to grasp it definitely and with results, then in order to distinguish that there are no concordant qualities, by showing that there is following, it will not become a kind of inversion. If you say that there is no definite grasp of only the absence in the discordant aspects
