Furthermore, it will be explained in the chapter on the characteristics of directions. If the reason is established by something, shouldn't it be accepted? If merely admitting non-establishment, it is said that because it exists in many things, it is inevitably admitted to be the many things themselves, how can this be said? When admitting by the dharma of something, by that inevitably admitting something else, this is entirely the function of reason. Just as seeing the pervaded, one admits the pervaded because other things are unreasonable, similarly, because admitting existence itself without measure, one inevitably admits the pervaded, this is the conclusion. If the reason is established, one will inevitably hold to one extreme, otherwise it is not. If the relationship of the non-definitive limb has been shown, what else can others do? If the debater necessarily speaks of the limb itself, one should pay attention to the words. Even without a reason, it is said, the root is fabrication and the reason for fabrication, what one does with fallacy is the root. The one who commits fallacy wants to determine something definitively. The reason for certainty is also because the reason is established, therefore, whatever reason is established there, that is the established reason, therefore it is the difference between establishing the pervaded and the pervaded. Merely fully showing that whatever exists in many things is the many things themselves, although this is the case, it is also to throw the measure of harm, so it is the establisher. Through the way of fallacy, the measure of harm is thrown, therefore this is another form of the establisher. Regarding this, the fundamental reason here is the opposite of fallacy. In some cases, fallacy or the reason opposite to fallacy will not become fundamental, because it is not established. For example, some say, if the general is one, because it is one, it will not exist in many things, but it also exists in many things, therefore it is not one, for this fallacy, the contradiction of the pervaded and the contradiction of the opposite pervaded, both are not established. Similarly, if the general is self-nature, a self-nature different from otherness, then it is the object, etc.

If it is related to a single unique individual, because it is related to many different things such as countries, it is said to be of multiple nature, which is like both the nature reason and the difference reason not being established. For this kind of reasoning, both affirmation and negation are universally present in multiple things, which has been fully proven. If universality is established, then the statement "the function of universality is not obvious" introduces another fundamental argument, rather than the affirmation argument or the negation argument not being established, completing the argument solely through the establishment of the argument, which is not establishing the opposite view by commitment, because the argument has no valid cognition. Not expressing the component of establishment is also not the case, because in this way, the valid cognition of establishing the universality and the thing of universal function of the fundamental argument is abandoned. If the combination of Samkhyas is also the case here, because the arising or impermanence of the argument itself is not established, then merely through affirmation and negation itself, impermanence, having arising, and having cessation, which is what the Samkhyas desire, if someone thinks so, then no one would do so. Pleasure and other things, the Samkhyas do not consider to be with consciousness. Buddhists consider it to be with arising and impermanence, then who would do that? Even if they want to do so, they are not able to do so. Why? It is explained that neither the establishment of affirmation nor negation can be understood. If someone says, is it not that one does not want the negation of the affirmation argument to be understood? That is true, because establishing the universality of the fundamental argument is merely a wish, therefore it is said that it cannot be understood. What causes it not to be understood? Because the contradiction between having consciousness, having arising, and impermanence is not established. If having consciousness contradicts it, then they will be pervaded by non-consciousness, and not otherwise. Then, why is the contradiction not established? It is explained that in another close case, anything that did not lack a cause before, due to the continuous subsequent occurrence, there is a visible flame, therefore it does not exist

Or it becomes contradictory, or mutually abandoned, that is, the nature of abiding separately, established as contradictory by the nature of that nature. These contradictions have been extensively explained in the second chapter. For those with two reasons and consciousness, these two contradictions are not established. Therefore, the reasons for inference and refutation cannot make one understand. If you ask: Then how do you make one understand? The answer is: For one, it has already been said. As previously stated, due to non-mixture and non-separation, due to emptiness, any object corresponding to separate things such as objects does not exist. Why? Because the other nature does not exist and it exists, it is a mutually separate and abiding nature, so it is contradictory. Corresponding to many things such as objects, as before, it is pervaded by many natures. Because oneness is without multiplicity, and multiplicity only abides in things with multiplicity, therefore the reason for inference can make one understand. If it is capable of making one understand, then the reason for refutation will also be said to be capable of making one understand, so there is no need to say it again. This meaning of inference, previous teachers would show it as existing in inference. Because it can prevent those with limbs, prevention is the main text. What are the texts of general prevention, etc., for it and others? Those are them. The so-called such aspect is that one exists in many. If admitted, then because the treatise will hinder. If not admitted, then because there is no basis, when to prevent? When the opportunity for observing the reasons for admitting the established sect arrives, it is to prevent at the time of admission, this is the final conclusion. It is not like that, if that does not exist, then after admitting, observation will be carried out, because it will hold onto those with limbs established from the treatise. That is also unreasonable, so when it exists, it is prevention. If at the time of admission, it is holding onto the meaning spoken there, and not preventing its meaning, then it is said: Because admitting existence in many, if one nature is not abandoned, that is impossible, therefore it prevents both dharmas from existing. Prevention.
