This is an explanation. Why are these two reasons (referring to common and uncommon) said to be the producers of doubt, and not one? Explanation: Because these two reasons are reduced to one uncommon dharma, it causes doubt about the difference in the characteristics of the uncommon object of support. Therefore, two must be stated. Because the object of doubt encompasses all two situations. Because of pervasion, existence on the subject of dharma is related to both of these. Because understanding one leads to doubt about their concomitance and contradiction, it is the cause of doubt, therefore it is necessary to reduce both to one dharma. In this way, because doubt arises about concomitance and contradiction, it is the cause of doubt. Some say that contradiction will necessarily become a cause. Because contradiction itself has the characteristic of being uncommon, for the object that is determined to contradict from what thing, then what is the reason for negation? I have already said in the second chapter. Because one negation itself exists, the audible itself will become understandable. Therefore, like the common, the uncommon is also the cause of doubt because doubt arises about concomitance and contradiction. This also negates what someone said that the uncommon is the cause of non-understanding, not the cause of doubt. How can merely doubting the existence and non-existence in similar and dissimilar classes become uncertain? Because even for a correctly applied certain reason, the speaker does not have the ability to establish the three aspects, so the understander will have doubt. Just like that, the certain reason will also become uncertain, certainty itself is not uncertainty. In this way, temporarily because the three aspects have not been established, it is the cause of the understander's doubt, therefore it will become uncertain. But in reality, that is also the correct reason. Therefore, uncertainty itself, the subject of dharma whose nature is certainly present in what place, that is uncertain. From where does that nature of certainty come from? Explanation: In order to show.

The merit of uncertainty comes from the very nature of uncertain phenomena becoming definite, not from other causes. In the common aspect, the merit of uncertainty exists in both concordant and discordant aspects. In the uncommon aspect, the merit is the absence of both concordant and discordant aspects. Doubting what follows and what contradicts is itself a merit, as it is doubting the basis of both concordant and discordant aspects. Do not think, "How can doubt be definite?" Because if it is valid to doubt what follows and what contradicts, then it will be certain that one is doubting what follows and what contradicts. Therefore, whatever is said to be a merit in all uncertainties must be made certain. Therefore, merely having an uncertain nature and doubting existence and non-existence is not uncertainty, because the reason would also become uncertain. If one says so, then some faults are inherent in the object, while others are the speaker's fault. Therefore, even if the valid reason is faultless in itself, the nature of the doubt that arises from how the speaker presents it is the cause of doubt. Therefore, to show that faults in the object can also lead to faults, and that faults in presenting the reason can lead to the fault of uncertain nature, it is explained: In inference for the sake of others, the nature of the object is the essence, which is the reason itself. It relies on that itself. Here, the speaker is considered as the one who shows, and the reason is what should be clarified. If the object is inverted, then the fault of establishing the reason is stated. If the speaker presents it in an inverted way, then the fault is stated due to the speaker's arrogance. In inference for one's own sake, only the fault of the meaning should be considered. To illustrate with an example, it is said: Just as, due to the reason of a person's arrogance, there are flaws, absence of following, and inverted following. These faults are in the context of
