Because there is concern, it is reasonable to distinguish having from others. Here, because the place of "pervading dharma is the reason" is not understood, the concern of not having should be distinguished. For those who have it, it should be understood as having with others, therefore, before distinguishing the unrelated, the absence of concern should not be distinguished, this unfinished statement has already been explained in the second chapter. By distinguishing the unrelated, the pervasion becomes special, therefore, what is the dharma of pervasion, there are three kinds. The three kinds are: having, not having, and both having in the similar side. The first is the meaning of collecting other kinds, if it is not so, then having and not having themselves will be understood as two kinds. Each of these three kinds, that is, each one, will also become three kinds, that is, what exists in the similar side, exists, does not exist, and both exist in the dissimilar side. Similarly, what does not exist in the similar side, and both exist, also has three kinds in the dissimilar side. What is the similar side or dissimilar side that should be distinguished for the dharma of pervasion? The answer is: the similar side is some things that have the same meaning as the pervasion. Like this, because it is similar to the pervasion, that thing itself is called the pervasion. The meaning of similarity is also the sound of "same", what is the same as the pervasion is the similar side. The similar side that is similar to the pervasion, there may also be the reason of the cause in the same place, here because it is desired to be the same as the reason of what is to be established, it is said: because there is doubt, it is also what is to be established, and it is also the dharma, because it is the basis. This shows that what is to be established itself is subject to the control of others. The so-called "special" is not what is to be established, therefore, do not connect "the totality of the dharma to be established" as words, however, the dharma to be established itself is the totality, that is, the sameness of the similar side that is similar to the pervasion, is equal, the same meaning is the meaning done by it. The absence of the dharma to be established is the dissimilar side. If it does not exist

If it is a dissimilar side, how can that which possesses the dharma of a side become that? Even if it has become non-existent, the dharma possessed by a thing is not compatible with non-existence. If someone says: Who would say that existence exists in non-existence? Because the dharma to be proven is merely non-existence, it is not a dissimilar side. However, all meanings that are empty of the conforming side are the dissimilar side. This is what is being said: Whatever cannot be expressed by the term 'conforming side', all of that is the dissimilar side. And what is that opposite? Because the non-existence to be proven, for example, saying that space is non-existent, is like the non-existence of the permanent space of impermanence itself, it contradicts other meanings that are separate from that nature to be proven. Cold touch, and that which is neither cold nor warm, is the abandonment of warmth to be proven, therefore, that should be called the dissimilar side. How so? Because it is said that it is a characteristic that is not the same as itself, meaning that it is because it is the nature of no side. The expression of the term 'dissimilar side' is not a side, and these three meanings are also not the nature of no side. Are contradiction and difference not things themselves? Is it not that there is no conforming side? It is said: That nature of no side is the same, without difference, to the opposite, contradiction, and difference, which are expressed by the term 'dissimilar side' that one wants to express. How is it that just as it is not a non-existent side, so too contradiction and difference are not sides, therefore it is no side, that is the meaning. If contradiction and difference are not sides, they are also not non-existent. Because the existence of a thing itself is existence, how can it be expressed by a term that expresses non-existence? It is said: The inverted understanding, that is, understanding as no side, is because non-existence, difference, and contradiction are all the same. The thought is this: The so-called 'no side' is not something that possesses an entity, but is something that is nominally designated by a discriminating mind. And how is that completely understood as non-existent?
