The object of knowledge itself contradicts its pervasiveness, and because of its pervasiveness, it also contradicts it. Therefore, being contradictory to it is pervaded by the power itself, so it is the reason of self-nature. Therefore, the meaning of the object of discriminative consciousness is the way of going, and it is the fame and conventional expression, which is also the reason of self-nature. What is to be established by fame is that what is born from that convention is called the expression of the desired sound, which is to harm what is not contradictory to the expression of the desired sound. Everything is the characteristic of what is grasped by discrimination, and from fame, all sounds can be expressed by all sounds, which is the wish of the scholar, explaining that it is the power of permissibility, meaning that it is only related to the meaning, and what is permissible for sound is its power, because whatever is related to the meaning combined with intention is that meaning. All sounds are related to it, and are combined and arranged in the nature of expression. Isn't it seen that some meanings are only related to some sounds? If so, how can it be said that everything is related? The answer is, in reality, even if it is not done in the world, because the collection is complete and there is no obstacle, it is said that it is actually done. It is the same here, things and sounds abide in discrimination, because it is permissible, when the collection of combination is complete, it is actually, saying that the self-nature itself is not established. Because in reality all sounds are related to it, therefore, even if it is not considered to be the expression of all sounds, but because everything doubts everything, therefore, the scholar Dignāga said that it is indeed established, using "for whom" and so on. Also, the word "also" means that it is not a sect either. The display to be established, for whom, all reasons are not common, will become without inference, and the fame arising from sound excludes meaning, which is not a sect. Arising from sound is the meaning of the characteristic expressed by the desired sound, even if the sound itself has not become anything, but because it is only related to intention.

It is completely established. Here, this itself is the source of all sounds to be expressed, and the rest is mentioned incidentally. Because, whoever thinks that the sound of desire to be expressed is established in all things, precisely because of that, the reason for harming with the thing to be expressed by the sound of desire is not uncommon. Why? Because, for anything, not being a moon is not established. Anything that exists itself is not a moon, and that which will follow it, does not exist at all. Therefore, since there is no entering into the similar side, it is uncommon, not undetermined. For example, existence itself that abides in discrimination is contradictory, because all existence is the moon. If someone says, whatever is excluded by contradicting the fame arising from sound is also not a side, then why say, whatever is uncommon, therefore there is no subsequent inference? This is to explain the necessity of this treatise. Saying so, is it saying that it cannot be refuted? Saying that the dharma of fame arising from sound cannot be refuted because there is no subsequent inference, in order to show that the fame arising from sound is the same as this, so such a treatise is declared. Another necessity is to explain: because there is no measure of the moon, it is to show definitively. Some say that because there is no measure of the moon, the moon itself is definitively declared. This needs to be examined. If because there is no measure of the moon, the moon itself is determined, then, whatever is uncommon, therefore there is no subsequent inference, what this treatise is to explain is that because the measure is stated definitively, it is understood through meaning, thereby showing that there is no non-contradictory, non-confused thing, just as it is now, showing that there is no non-contradictory, non-confused thing, it will turn to this side. If so, then, whatever has no subsequent inference, it is not like this showing that there is no contradictory, non-confused thing, but directly stating. The meaning to be shown is stated in the implied speech. If for inferring the moon itself, there is no non-contradictory, non-confused thing, then directly
