It is also said, "Vādag" etc. If one eliminates the actions associated with the two, then all such forms will be eliminated, therefore many words are spoken. Therefore, like this, not relying on treatises is like not belonging to the appropriate occasion, because it is not a component of universal establishment, therefore it is said to be inappropriate. Now it is said that even if one relies on treatises, it is only inappropriate. Even if one relies on treatises, if one goes beyond the appropriate Dharma, then it is too extreme. There it has also been said, "There, the Dharma to be proven, and, if there is not, it does not arise, it is harm" etc. Therefore, the reason for saying "Therefore" is because one wants to understand the general situation, not wanting to understand the specific situation, therefore, the one who realizes, abiding in the words "Is the realization constant at the appropriate time" etc., only wants the Dharma without difference. Because there is no difference, it is only Dharma, that is the meaning. That is to be proven, and that itself is worthy of listening to. If it is not like this, if one admits that the inappropriate situation is to be proven, then because one admits other meanings, the opponent will be refuted. The thinker who seeks meaning is to be proven, because stating the reason that can establish is for the sake of others' meaning. If one abandons it, one will go to other meanings, therefore the opponent is refuted, because it is cut off. Because the fault of the occasion is not mentioned, the rebuttal is also cut off. In order to explain the meaning of the unexcluded word, what the teacher approves of, acknowledged as what is to be proven, is explained by taking it as the characteristic of the subject. What was just said, acknowledged as what is to be proven, is also to show that it is not excluded. With what is it shown? With the meaning of direct perception and inference, and trustworthy ones etc. The word trustworthy is used for fame in that word. The object to which fame refers is explained by the meaning of fame, because the knowledge of the possessor of the object is shown by the meaning of the object. These are not excluded. Is it not said that the words of the subject are not a component of what can be established? How can it be shown like this? If it must be shown, it is said, "If it must be shown," because merely the fact that others acknowledge it in this way is what is to be shown.

In my opinion, it should not be preached. This explains that the sound of "should be preached" in the characteristic sutra is also for the sake of others. In the view of those who think that sects should be preached, such content should be preached. The so-called "believers" refers to one's own self and the faith of others. Here, the sound of faith refers to the words of faith, and the sound of fame refers to who is famous. Relying on reason means becoming the object of the function of reason. All validities harm other meanings through the gateway of meaning, but not through their own nature. If this is not the case, then what is not understood is not contrary to the external world, but what it wants to prove is other meanings, so why does the sutra say "meaning"? The answer is: In order to distinguish between direct perception and direct perception, "meaning" is said, because some are untrue meanings, so abandoning the untrue meaning as a cause is to grasp the real object of the realm of validity. All consciousness that relies on the root is direct perception, and now it is also an undeluded meaning. In order to explain that for this, the consciousness of sound, etc., which has a deluded meaning, is not a harmer, so "meaning" is said. If it has not been said that direct perception is validity? Then how can it be validity and become direct perception? Indeed it is. However, here, the credible words and fame that are not validity are also said to be harmful, and the sound of direct perception also becomes common because of preaching, so even if what appears to be direct perception is not validity, it can be understood as a harmer, so "meaning" is said. Even so, it is also for that reason that "meaning" is said, isn't it necessary to explain other necessities of saying "meaning"? Indeed it is. However, in order to explain that other people's explanation of the necessity of saying "meaning" is also unreasonable, these are arranged. For example, for something that does not exist, it does not exist, just like the third way, others say that this is a necessary condition for the characteristics that must be determined, just like this, arrange it first, and then refute it. Also, why is exclusion not a sect? If it is not pervasive
