Explanation: For what reason is it that sound does not enter according to desire? Therefore, because of that, the object of death that is not mistaken in consciousness is not truly existent, because it would follow that everything would be accomplished by everything. For what reason is it that the death of sentient beings is not established in trees, etc.? Therefore, this world speaks of trees, etc., dying from dryness. If it is said that dryness itself is the reason for having life, the death of sentient beings is not like that, because that dryness is not seen to be connected with the sentient beings themselves. Therefore, although dryness is established in trees, etc., having life itself is not established. If it is said that for the moment, only the general characteristic of death is established, and that is also seen to be connected with having life itself, therefore, what is the use of considering the difference between being dried up or the cessation of consciousness, since it is established in having life itself? Explanation: For what reason is it that because it enters only according to desire, because there is only sound that does not depend on things, whatever is the object to be understood by things, its establishment is not. Therefore, having life itself cannot be established from dryness. It is said like this: Here, only the sound of death itself is common, but the object of death is not, because the cessation of dryness and the senses, etc., is extremely incompatible with the Dharma. Understanding the meaning from sound is also not, therefore, it is not established by the general characteristic of the nature of sound. The special death that is not mistaken in consciousness, saying that it is not established in trees, etc., this is the impermanence of unconsciousness established by the Samkhyas, and the reason and function and place, etc., established by the Vaisheshikas, which are close to the cause of special and superior consciousness, the difference in shape that is established, and whatever those are, that is, whatever is to be established that is connected with the Dharma nature of consciousness and place, etc., such as unconsciousness, etc., it is said that their proof is not established. By mentioning "etc.", the reason for entering from the beginning, etc., is taken. How are those also not established? Like this, the impermanence of consciousness, and the places, etc., are established as differences in shape? For what

Furthermore, in wisdom and places, etc., only sound is established. The meaning that the Samkhyas want to express is not established. For those with wisdom preceding, the distinction of unmistakable shapes is also not established. For the time being, how can only sound be established, and not meaning, for the wisdom of the Samkhyas, in the absence of mind? Because the Sugatas do not wish the immutable nature, the peaceful, invisible self to be impermanent. If it becomes impermanent, then from the invisible nature, the immutable thing becomes invisible. Therefore, it is admitted to revert to having no consequence. Therefore, sound is commonly established in both, but not meaning. Here, the distinction between the self's degeneration and the invisible nature, the invisibility that does not wish to be expressed, and the connection close to function are not allowed. What is to be expressed by the sound of impermanence is that there is no difference between degeneration without consequence and invisibility. That itself is the common establishment that does not depend on distinction. If that is not established, then peace is not established for the opponent. If arguing about non-establishment through the way of distinguishing differences, it will become self-contradictory. If the teacher, in order to avoid this self-contradiction, shows the object of self-contradiction, it is: If, like being made, etc., what is to be expressed by the sound of impermanence is a slight thing, that is, the universal existing in things. Both the debater and the opponent want the universal, and if it is established in both, then the answer will become wrong. Being made is commonly established in things. A pot or sound is not to be expressed by the sound of being made, but only the substance produced by cause is to be expressed. That is established in both. If it is only that, it is not the probandum and the pervader, then even without sound, it will draw out the difference by force. It is only that which is pervaded by impermanence. Therefore, if what is to be expressed by sound is not the establishment of the probandum and the pervader, then it is drawn out by the force of the probandum, and the sound has not grasped it.
