Although all the faults of the proof harm the thesis itself. The term "that" refers only to harming the thesis. The term "not" is used to ask why. The term "proof." The term "that" refers to harming the thesis itself. To dispel the doubt that others may think it is reasonable, the term "however." The statement "the fault of the proof is not the fault of the thesis" refers to the occasion. Why? Because the proof, which is different from the thesis to be established, has its time and nature entered into it. From where does that come? The term "thesis." Then, whose fault is this? The term "however." The term "that" is the answer. The term "because it is the same" refers to the fact that the thesis and the proof are the same in that they do not have concomitance. How are they the same? The term "concomitance." That matter is unrelated. If the relationship itself does not depend on the two, how can it be said to be unrelated? It is not so, the absence of concomitance is also dependent on the two to establish. For example, smoke and the absence of smoke are concomitant, while a donkey is not concomitant. Therefore, it does not reside on the two. The term "both" refers to the thesis and the proof. The unestablished in relation to the proof is not unrelated. The term "in relation to the proof" refers to the characteristic of being unestablished, the nature of which is unestablished, in relation to the proof. If it is the fault of the proof itself, then the term "in this" refers to the boundary of establishment. For example, in this, I (藏文:བདག་,梵文天城体:आत्म,梵文罗马拟音:ātma,汉语字面意思:self) am pervasive. If someone establishes the pervasive self as the object to be established, etc., it has been said before. The term "both" refers to the fact that the law to be established and the laws distinguish each other, and in relation to the distinguishing and the distinguished things, if it is established by reason, then how can it be the fault of the thesis? The thesis itself is correct. Therefore, the statement "I (藏文:བདག་,梵文天城体:आत्म,梵文罗马拟音:ātma,汉语字面意思:self) am pervasive" is the correct thesis itself, not a similar thesis. However, the law

If the basis of the reason is not established because the subject is without self, then this becomes a fault of the reason, not a fault of the subject. If it is necessarily the case that only an established subject can establish what is to be established, then this certainty is not non-existent. Therefore, the dharma to be established that possesses an established subject is the subject, while that which possesses an unestablished subject is a pseudo-subject. Therefore, saying "I am pervasive" is only a fault of the subject, not a fault of the reason. This is said by accepting doubt, i.e., "subject," etc., which is the manner of certainty. It is not necessarily the case that only an established subject can establish what is to be established in relation to it; however, an unestablished dharma can also establish what is to be established in relation to it. Therefore, for both established and unestablished subjects, possessing the dharma to be established is what is to be established. How can it be certain that the collection of unestablished dharma and subject is the true subject? That is, "merely its own nature." Saying "I am pervasive" means only showing what is to be established; therefore, it is the subject itself, not a pseudo-subject. Therefore, how can it be said to be a pseudo-subject? Therefore, this will also be said by others to be a fault of the reason. If it is said that the collection of unestablished dharma and subject is only what is to be established, then how can it be said that because there was no subject before, the basis of the reason is not established? Therefore, if the subject is not established anywhere, then this is only a pseudo-subject. Having thought this, others will doubt, i.e., "How can it be...?" "The basis is not established" refers to the extreme of establishment. When the collection of dharma and subject is not established, then the reason itself is not established. Therefore, this is a fault of the reason, not a fault of the subject. "Therefore" means there is no certainty. The generality of unestablished dharma and subject refers to "I am pervasive." Therefore, how can particularly unestablished, etc., become other faults of the subject? It is the subject itself, and the basis of the reason is not
