What is that? Just as the fruit exists, it will also become the cause, that is what it means. Why? Because any fruit is like that. Therefore, an uncertain fruit cannot prove its own existence, that is what it means. The Samkhya school's own view refutes this uncertainty by answering from "like others" to "energy produces change." The word "if" should be moved below the word "change." "Energy comes from" refers to the energy from the clay lump. All fruits come from indistinct characteristics. If asked what kind of energy it resembles, it is said "like others," for example, the energy of potters and others besides the clay lump. Even so, how can it be determined that it is unique? That is "from the energy itself." It means that from the energy itself of indistinct characteristics, the so-called energy, a distinct fruit will be produced. The answer is "if there is no difference." If the energies that are cause and fruit are not different, then how does energy produce energy? Because acting on oneself is contradictory. The question is "if." If something distinct is produced from energy. Therefore, acting on oneself is not contradictory, if asked like that. The answer is "energy." If something distinct is produced from energy, then that distinct thing, do you admit that it is different from energy? If you say yes, then the nature of the cause has no distinctness. If that is the case, according to your view, it will not become something to be produced, because you do not admit production from nothing. Or, if the nature of the cause has distinctness, then how does it produce? It will not be produced, because the meaning of production is not established. Or, if the external vase is distinct, then the existing thing will not be produced. However, if it is thought that the wisdom of the nature of the principal's complete transformation is distinct, and that is exactly what should be produced, then it is said "distinct." That is also wisdom. You are the ones who say that the fruit exists, so all fruits are existing. Therefore, saying "therefore" is because of existence.

Lo o. That which is called "is" is me (mine). Because of permanence, how can that self, which is not to be produced, be born? Therefore, that which is called "is" is not to be produced as clarity, so the result of its own causes, etc., which possesses measure, is not clarity. If that which exists is manifest but unclear, shouldn't others also accept that which is manifest as clear? If it is not so, since there is no pot in a dark room, what is manifest and clear? It is said: darkness. Cognition is knowledge, it is cognition through recollection or types of signs. In a dark room, there is a pot, as such, the cognition arising from the sense of touch, is the touch that is closely indicated, because there is understanding that is unerring about form. If so, how can the pot dwelling in a dark room be recollected, and likewise, shouldn't it be recollected that there is a pot that is manifest but unclear on a lump of clay? It is said: pot, etc. Pot, etc., are manifest but unclear. For what reason should it not be clear? Therefore, everything is impermanent, this shows the combination of recollection. Whatever is made is impermanent, like clarity. The pot is also made. Therefore, it is because of impermanence. Having explained the four kinds of harm to the পক্ষ (pakṣa, thesis), the debate that dwells in the mind of the teacher, regarding the subject of one's own dharma, is expressed as "o na". How is it meaningless? It is said: like this. This meaning is, whatever is harmed by प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), that is not a পক্ষ (pakṣa, thesis), it is sufficient to briefly indicate only this, is that which is harmed by प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) the subject of one's own dharma? Or is it other than the subject of one's own dharma? Where is this closely needed? Because all harm appears like পক্ষ (pakṣa, thesis). Therefore, holding specifically to the subject of one's own dharma is meaningless, because there is nothing to distinguish. Does it change? It is the subject of dharma that possesses impermanence and is to be accomplished. That which is external is the distinction of the qualities of space. Having established the debate on stating the subject of one's own dharma in this way, if impermanence, which is desired to be accomplished, harms the one possessing dharma, it is a fault of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, thesis), if
