Not an action. If, like a vase and a blanket, both audible and inaudible things are neither harmful nor non-harmful, then, that is to say, the meaning established by valid cognition is the audible itself. Other inaudible things are not. How is it? It is called contradictory. If even when recognized as a harmer, it is not a non-harmer? Because destroying one's own nature itself is the harmer, it is said that it does not exist. The destroyer and the destroyed thing are not, this is called the characteristic of seizing the object. Therefore, because it is a harmer. Valid cognition is the knowledge that holds the characteristics of sound itself. If it is not merely showing two meanings as the object to be harmed and the harmer? What is the use of showing the audible itself as established by valid cognition with the sound of the audible? What has already been said is clarified in a summary way, called having limbs. Harming is because of the valid cognition of the audible itself and the established itself by valid cognition; it is necessary to show the harmer having limbs. If one thinks that even showing having limbs, what is the necessity? It is called elimination. Ni, means because of what. Only with this, the aspects of elimination by direct perception are distinguished. The explanation of elimination by inference is, for elimination by inference, even if the teacher has explained understanding and thinking, even so, there is something that should be said. What is the aspect of the object of elimination by inference? It is called if the vase is permanent, this example is by the elimination of Samkhya. Saying the seed that admits permanence is, with what there is no non-manifestation, that itself is the Samkhya that does not express. Things like vases are existence itself, because it is clearly seen residing on clay lumps and so on. How does it harm by inference? If one admits that existence is clearly manifested, then, all causes will become merely without function. Therefore, it is called because of no function. If the cause itself does not exist, then searching for the cause is meaningless. Because searching for the cause is pervaded by the cause itself.

It means that if it doesn't exist, it won't change. It's called "the cause of explanation." If you think, how can the cause itself be nonexistent? It's because what that cause is supposed to do, like a vase, etc., hasn't become the thing to be done. If someone says that other things make the result, like a vase, etc., manifest. The answer is, it's called "manifestation too." "However" means "other." "Then" means "answer." If you think, what's the fault if there's no difference? It is said, if what is clearly manifest from the meaning has no difference. Therefore, because the causes have no power, it's meaningless to seek them. It is said, having admitted that the result exists in the nature of the cause, but this is not reasonable because there is no प्रमाण(pramāṇa,Devanagari: प्रमाण, IAST: pramāṇa, Literal meaning: measure). It is said, "vase, etc." Welcoming the doubt: If you say that because it is the result, the lump of clay, etc., exists there. The answer is, it's called "result." What is called "manifestation" is the argument. Manifestation will change if it exists, because manifestation is not allowed for what does not exist. Without a vase, the lamp cannot make it manifest. Therefore, it is known from the clear manifestation of the sign itself that the result exists in the nature of the cause. What is called "exists" is that the result will exist in the nature of the cause. The example is called "lamp, etc." "Everything" is also from the potter, etc. If admitted, that is the Samkhya school. What is called "potter," etc., is the answer. Because there is nothing to do on the side that says the result exists. If something arises from something, then at that time it will arise from everything, or like a potter, etc., this is just an argument. If the result does not exist in the nature of the cause, then it will arise from everything, because there is no difference for what does not exist. Therefore, the result is only nonexistent in the nature of the cause. What is called "lump of clay," etc., is the answer. "That" refers to the result, which is the vase. If the vase exists in that lump of clay, then the rabbit's horn will also be there, because it will become something that exists. If even if it doesn't appear, the vase exists in the lump of clay, then at that time the rabbit's horn will also exist, because it is the same for both unseen things. Therefore, the rabbit's horn will also be produced. Later, what the potter, etc., did, immediately after that is that rabbit's horn.
