The so-called "reason for answering" is just right. The answer is "it is not so." The so-called "some" refers to the sentient being itself. The so-called "all" also refers to impermanence and so on. Which is the only aspect of the words that show impermanence and so on? However, even if it is established by valid cognition, it is better established than the other Samkhya. Why? Because one does not understand the root of valid cognition. One's own characteristic is what one wants to clarify, clarifying that one does not understand the root of valid cognition, that is, showing it. Although this is so, the so-called "although this is so," etc., even if others, that is, the debater, do not understand what is to be established, there is no fault. Because for the opponent, what is to be established is certain. If it is said that there is no fault of not being established, then it means "for oneself," that is, it is established for the opponent himself. The debater, therefore, is this opponent. Otherwise, just because one does not understand the reason for impermanence and so on, one thinks that there is no mind universally, then not understanding is also unreasonable. Even if one does not understand the reason, knowing what is to be established is present for the debater, that is its meaning. Explaining the latter half is the so-called "reason." Because one does not understand the root of valid cognition, it is said that the reason for impermanence and so on cannot be established, for the Samkhya, even if one establishes the mindlessness that is to be established, it is not impossible to establish. If the Samkhya does not establish what is to be established, then how does the opponent understand? Therefore, it is said "that is temporary," what is to be understood is from that reason, that is, from impermanence and so on. Why? Because "for oneself." Refuting the doubt of the other Buddhist is "if what." This Samkhya is able to be without a door, that is, without a method, because it has not become a method for understanding what is to be established, and has not clarified the nature of establishment. If this is done, the debater is not stable, the refuter says "that also." The so-called "others" is because the Samkhya debater is stubborn. Clarifying this itself is the so-called "like this." For you, that is, for the reason to be shown.

If it is established, then it is good. "I am established" means established in what can be established. However, if the reason that establishes is not established, then how can what is to be established from this be understood? "Everything" means the aspect that can establish. "Reason also" refers to impermanence, etc. If the nature of the reason is to be established, then it is unobscured. Therefore, why speak of the knowledge of the sign that is established? "Everything" is said in this way. Again, welcoming the doubt is "If." "That" refers to understanding what is to be established by the established sign. "The other's answer" is "That also." "Here" means giving an answer to the debate such as "Even so." "The other" refers to the opponent. The opponent understands impermanence, etc., this is the thought. "This" means explaining, "This which is to be established, I can establish." "This" refers to what is to be established, connecting in this way, how is it understood? If so, who has not understood? Oneself, that is, the opponent, the Samkhya, has not understood. "What does this do?" means knowing that others have understood. "After deceiving" means having spoken unrelated words. The opponent, I have understood, therefore, for you, the opponent, what other necessity is there for this that establishes impermanence? There is none at all, that is the meaning. What is not understood is the object of the sign. "I" refers to having spoken of what appears to be established. "For you" refers to the opponent. "The other's doubt" is "I also," which refers to the opponent. "That way" refers to the opponent. "If" is the answer, for the opponent. "Not to be said" refers to the opponent. Then what is to be said? "Here" is said, for this sign, it is the opponent's. "Not understood" refers to the other's. The answer to this is "If that is so." "Here" refers to what can be established. "This way" means in this manner. "If it is not that way" means not speaking with relevance. "How here, I" refers to the opponent. "If for others, the meaning is definitely established."
