The term "I" refers to both the general and the specific. If it were always both general and specific, then even if there were something far away, the thought "this is a cow" would arise at all times. To illustrate this, there is the phrase "at all times." The term "specific" refers to the cause of wisdom that follows its own characteristics. What if it is not understood? It means, what if the appearance is uncertain? Even if it is specific, it does not eliminate doubt about the object of appearance. To dispel this doubt, the word "any" is spoken. Even when seeing the general from afar, one will understand that this is the appearance of a cow, which is different from the appearance of a swan, and no doubt will arise. It cannot be said that it is not grasped from afar, because this would lead to the fault of having no general. Even if it is decisive, how is doubt eliminated? This is the meaning of the word "decisive." The general and so on are not like this. Why? This is the meaning of the phrase "like this." The self-nature of the meaning of existence does not depart from its own essence. The meaning of this sentence is that the self-nature of the meaning, the general, does not depart from its own essence, because the appearances of similar and dissimilar things are different. The term "not existing by nature" means that because it is not pervasive, it does not exist there. Or, even so, how is doubt eliminated? Therefore, it is said "any determination." The general and so on are not determinations. Why are they not determinations? This is the meaning of the phrase "like this." Is an existing other thing prevented by the general? Or a non-existent thing? If it exists, then even if the general exists, the self-nature of the meaning will not depart from its own essence. Then, by what can doubt be eliminated? How can the general be decisive? If it does not exist, then even if it is not its own existence and so on. Therefore, because it is not possible and not necessary, the self-nature of the meaning is not changed by the power of the general and so on. However, the power of the specific, which exists from other things, will change, therefore

The special thing is that it is only to distinguish, if you think so, what is the use of distinguishing thousands of kinds? The former exists in the other. One's own nature will not change, because of this reason. If the commonality cannot be determined because of the fault of mutual dependence, then how to determine it? It is called "manifestation". If the commonality is determined in this way, then what is the commonality? It is called "commonality". "That is also" refers to hidden places and so on. Others say that hidden places and so on are internal. The answer is that for those who say commonality, it is also said. How do the manifestations of various colors, which are different from each other, make the commonality clearly manifest? The question is greeted by the name "due to the difference itself", is it only the various different manifestations that make the commonality clearly manifest? The name "horse" is an established tenet. Others say that swans and so on do not have the ability to make the commonality of cows clearly manifest, the answer is, these are called "these", if the various colors and so on are different from each other, how can they make the commonality clearly manifest? The name "the nature of things" is of others. The answer is, the name is "foot". If it is not so, the name "merely stretching the foot" is salvation. Do not say it by you, the debater. To say is to say various situations, called "if there is no commonality". If you think why you can't say it, it is also said here, in hidden places and so on. If it is not a commonality because of confusion, it is called "hidden places and so on". Then, how to determine the various names of Brahmins and so on? The name is "Brahmin". If the Brahmin himself does not exist, he will not have good behavior, the name is "wine". It is only a sign of a deaf person, some people in the interpretation say that because they do not drink alcohol and so on, it is only a case of universal good behavior. Or, not drinking alcohol and so on is only entering into universal good behavior, but it is not the commonality of Brahmins and so on, this is what they think in their hearts. The name "not other" refers to the commonality examined by the other party, which is not the reason for the commonality distinction. The meaning is that the cow itself.
