If self-nature is shown through means such as being perceived by the Dharma-eye, then the phrase "only showing its own nature" will become fruitful through analysis. Therefore, mentioning "self" is not to exclude what is to be proven as the subject, because this is merely to establish the negation of other aspects. The explanation is "if so," meaning "why is it not to be proven?" Because "self" is mentioned. This indicates the significance of mentioning "self." If it is not so, i.e., if self-nature is what is to be proven as the subject. "To establish" means to observe the subject. Because the subject is not established, analysis is impossible, so saying that the subject is established is timely. This reveals the various aspects of the debate. Regarding this, establishing it by oneself is also unreasonable. "That itself" means the subject is established. By excluding what does mentioning "self" become fruitful? For the subject, there is no what is to be proven, that is its meaning. If so, it is other. "Similarly, the establishment of analysis is also not the basis," thus connecting. "Similarly, establishment is also not the basis of the reason," thus joining. If it is not so, i.e., if "self-nature" also has necessity, then the word "both" is not merely arbitrary, and the word "self-nature" will also be proven to have different necessities, but it is not actually shown. Therefore, the phrase "only by its own nature" is not to exclude the establishment of what is to be proven, but to establish what is not established, such as being seen by the eye. If neither has necessity, then "why" is other. The meaning here is to explain "not established." "Dharma" means what is not established, such as being seen by the eye. If the Dharma is not established, then the self-nature shown in an established way is established; if one thinks, what would it be like to show the unestablished subject with an established self-nature? For example, "I." Existing with particularity, not unestablished.

Finished. The statement that shows the nature of being established is "thus." "The distinction of the subject itself" means: connecting the unestablished dharma to show the distinction of the subject itself. "However" refers to others. "Stating in an unknown way" refers to "what is impermanent." The answer is "the sound is the same." "The sound of the qualities of space is impermanent," even if the sound is the same. This is also a statement of other's faults, but according to the Buddhas, it is not to point out the aspect. "If by one's own nature" - for this, if one does not admit the difference that can be distinguished, then "how" refers to others, meaning: this is not to be relied upon as the very thing that can be distinguished. Why? "What must be grasped" - that is to show what can be distinguished. "For the sake of others" means: showing the unestablished proof, because it is the very thing to be established, it is done for the sake of distinguishing, therefore, "for the sake of others" also becomes an established distinction. "Thus said" refers to the distinguishable that states one's own nature. The form of saying "the distinguishable that has a prior commitment" is "if also." The established becomes the thing to be established. "What others say, the words that have not been eliminated, how can it become distinguishable, the elimination is not the very thing to be heard, how can it become the very thing to be established and obtained? Here also: Whatever is eliminated as the proof, That which is realized is also non-existent. That realization of non-existence is, How can it become established and realized? It is possible to say this. Therefore, just like the distinguishable of words that have not been eliminated, for one's own words, one should also mainly show the distinction, this is what is thought. The answer to this is "for that," because for elimination, one can see the dispute. The dispute that is seen will also be shown later. Therefore, what is said by oneself is not for the purpose of preventing the established dharma from becoming the thing to be established, because if it is not so, it can also be established in reverse. Other ways,
