Therefore, for a faultless realized being, just as offering alone is the reason for the result when inferring for one's own benefit, in order to show that it is also the same when inferring for the benefit of others, it is said, "Or else." Wherever there is no error in the reason of the result, there is no need to ascertain it with the reason of nature. The term "the same way" refers to what is said when inferring for one's own benefit. The term "only the thing" means that without stating the property of the subject, there is no inference of its nature. The term "from sound" means only stating the connection. For a faultless realized being, only the connection is stated by words, but the property of the subject is realized without words. Therefore, here, smoke is only the sign of the result of offering. One might think, if there is no error at all, what is the use of stating it? To show this, it is said, "If there is no error." The answer is "connection." If that is the case, one might think, then inferring for the benefit of others is stating the three aspects of a sign, isn't that contradictory? Therefore, it is said, "three aspects." The term "how is it possible" means that for error, the three aspects must be stated, but for no error, it is not necessary, because it is realized only from the words of its connection. If that is the case, then the statement "there is smoke here" is not an inference of the result of the cause, but an inference of nature, in order to eliminate both of these, it is said, "In addition." In order to eliminate it by other means as well, it is said, "Furthermore." The inference itself caused by the cause of inference, without which there is no valid cognition from words, but the words themselves are valid cognition because they are the cause of inference. Therefore, just this alone clearly explains the meaning seen by oneself, this is what is intended here. Because when inferring for the benefit of others, there is no inference of the cause, so this definition does not apply, all the words saying "there is smoke here" are not intended to be stated as the cause of inference. However, how does it appear

Because examples and inference are the cause of terms, words are also like inference. But it is not because it is the cause of inference. Quoting the aforementioned former view from the mouth of another is the meaning of "What is it?" Connect "words are also valid." Why? Because it is said "terms." To clarify this, it is "without words." Words, in addition to being the cause of inference, should also be acknowledged as valid, that is its meaning. Refutation is "the explanation for this." Without these three, what are the terms of the world? However, it only exists in memory, that is its meaning. Just by this, is memory itself valid? Of course not. Does that mean terms do not arise? If memory itself is not valid, then "even if it is the cause of terms" is the remainder. The answer is "it is like that." "It is like that" means "needing terms." The similarity is memory and words. Then, how to eliminate the doubt, that is, how to prove that the third way is valid? Therefore, the first verse is explained, that is, "where." "Not other" means that it is not only because it is the cause of terms. If one does not want to define words as only the cause of all inferences, then, here it is said "only this." In this definition of the meaning of what one has seen, one only wants to say that words are valid only because they are the cause of inference. Because for the inference for the sake of others, it is not the cause of the inference of the cause, so this definition does not apply, not only because it is the cause of all inferences. This is what is said "all words." The word saying "there is smoke here," although it expresses nature, but because it is the cause of all inferences, it also becomes the cause of the inference of the cause. Then, what do you want to say? In order to consolidate the meaning that has already been said, it is the words of...
