The words "the pot is," etc., are obtained through the power of speech. Similarly, the statement "proving impermanence, it is not universally established" is not so, but rather it means that it is only established. This is said from the perspective of what is to be proven. From the perspective of what proves, it is like "how." The connection is made by saying, "How is it that whatever is concordant with the same class is not established, and likewise, being made is also not established?" If you want to prove impermanence, then say "before." "If" etc. are arguments. "Similar to that" is the established conclusion. "Following" is the argument. How can other pots and other sounds be established as the same? If you say that pots and sounds etc. follow impermanence, so they are the same, if that is the case, then walls and pots etc., merely following any one of the two, can also establish a person, then saying that established conclusion is meaningless. It is only because it is other that it becomes the same, it is not like that, if it is not other, then how can the same be established? Why? Because "for one." "Like this" etc. are for connecting the same-ness. That is endowed with a person of that kind. Here it refers to the connection of "whatever is made is impermanent." If impermanence is followed, then it will become a qualified subject. Where does this come from? Because "what is to be proven is." "Before" is before establishing the proof. "If" is doubt. "Merely" refers to following without examining the aspect of the subject, then how can the impermanence of the qualified subject be established? "With other and merely" and "if other is established" etc., are like being unrelated, if it is established. "If it is like that" means everything is to be proven. "Welcoming the Buddhist's doubt" is "saying" etc. "This fault" refers to the contradiction of reason and the incompleteness of the example to be proven. "For the other" refers to proving the dharma that has not been said. It is not.
