If it is admitted that words can distinguish between truth and falsehood, then for hidden things, that word becomes only a conjecture of the thing itself, like smoke. Because words must arise from meaningless things, they themselves can understand meaning. Some people use it this way to avoid errors in words: If it is admitted that related things are understood through smoke, etc., then it is only a conjecture of one's own thing, not of other things. Because it arises from the sign, and other things are the essence of words. If sounds are not related to things, then how can things be recalled from them? If it is thought that there is no difference in words, how can it be said? This is what is called "memory leads to error". If it is thought that the word that can determine the nature of the previous valid cognition will become a valid cognition, then this is what is called "therefore". No matter which sign is studied in depth, some signs are like the previous valid cognition that determined the relationship, that is, they are certain, that is, they correspond to memory, not from words. Therefore, the valid cognition of words is not a valid cognition. It is neither an external thing nor an effort. Similarly, effort is not a valid cognition of external things either. Because words are not valid cognition, it is said to be "hidden". When the other party makes a conjecture, because there is no valid cognition to determine the relationship, it is said that the relationship is uncertain, which is called "if". "Through valid cognition" is the answer. "From valid cognition" refers to determining the relationship between fire and smoke. "Memory" refers to seeing a mass of smoke at another time and then clinging to the idea that this smoke is related to fire in any case. Since it arises from the continuum, it is approximate, how can it not be a valid cognition? This has been firmly admitted, and if it were not so, no conjecture would arise. This is not too excessive either, if it is not approximate, then there are only two valid cognitions, and because of the approximation, it is also considered a word. In that case, will all memories become valid cognitions? This is what is called "all of them". That is

It is memory. The so-called "This is memory" is a dispute about close attainment. From the characteristic of grasping pervasiveness, the memory of the nature of determining pervasiveness is clear, thus, valid cognition and memory, holding as the reality of cause and effect, valid cognition is only memory. The memory that can grasp is also related to the two that are to be grasped, it is to be known by other memories, if it is not so, how to grasp the relationship? The second memory is also related to them, and its relationship is also in the other three memories. Its relationship with valid cognition and the two memories is also known by other memories, therefore, there is no end, so it is important to arise determination from memory, only the meaning of not arising. If asked whether this memory is a display? It is said that the initial memory does not depend on other memories, this, is the meaning of determining that it arises from this. In the inverted, is there no display of memory at all? Why is the meaning of the display of memory also seen in the absence? If one thinks that the display is not inverted because it is for obtaining meaning, obtaining is the achievement of close attainment. If it is said that why is it not allowed as valid cognition in harmlessness? Because the two are not allowed in the ultimate truth. It is also said conventionally. The other is the nature of harmlessness itself. Possessing realization, being free from harm, not seeking meaning, therefore it is not the seeking of valid cognition or non-valid cognition, but it is not because it seeks for the sake of the function of meaning. Therefore, only the convention of the characteristic of obtaining meaning is the reason for valid cognition, not the others. From convention, it is said that it is not from the characteristic of obtaining meaning. Relying on obtaining, it is said, from obtaining truly and continuously relying, from that completely grasping. The meaning is from the habituation of the function of meaning. Although it is so, what is the fault? Saying the other, is the knowledge of the function of meaning. In other places, it refers to memory. The experience and habituation of the function of meaning, therefore it is the display that arises, but not memory. Therefore, how to say that some memories are displayed from the supreme? That is the meaning of this. If it will be explained, it is not so either.
