If it is said, how does a non-deceptive contradiction become an uncertain self-nature? Answer: It is "like this." If it is not related to what is to be established, then "how" belongs to others. If it is said that being unrelated is also non-deceptive, answer: it is "nor is it related." "If that is so," etc., are answers. If it is said, how does this become a cause of doubt in your school? Answer: It is "we." Merely because it is unrelated, one doubts the absence of non-deceptiveness, answer: it is "non-deceptiveness." The answer is "the promised." For example, the Vaiseṣika himself has promised that on the subject sound, the nature of impermanence is to be established, just as it becomes a non-deceptive agent by the power of the pot. The interpreter of words, with the desired permanent dharma, also by the power of the example of sound itself, audibility is also non-deceptive. Therefore, in this regard, depending on one's own promise, both will become establishers, because this itself is mutually contradictory. Therefore, for us, if there is no relationship, then the fault of "how does it become non-deceptive" does not exist. Saying thus, etc., is to state the promise of others. The promise is the interpreter of words. As the reason itself is audibility. Because the permanent universal of sound itself exists as an example. If it is said, how is audibility not seen in destruction itself? Answer: It is in permanence itself. Audibility is because it is seen in the example sound itself, so it will become knowable. The explanation is knowable, that is, the reason for audibility is in permanence itself. Stating the function of the knowable that others desire is "seeing and." The reason for the knowable is the knowable, that is, the causality of the cause. This abides in the school of the Vaiseṣikas, and is the establisher stated by the interpreter of words, is the definition of the function of the knowable. Like that, when audibility is established relying on its established boundary, Master Dignāga said: audibility will become knowable. At what time? If here it says some distinctions other than sound.

Regarding audibility and being made, if it is admitted that both of these are understood by the power of examples, then doubt will arise. "Both" refers to audibility and being made. "Dependent" refers to specific. The expression of "very necessary to understand" is "like this." If you, the specific one, believe that sound is impermanent, then you should abandon the belief that universal sound is permanent. Why? "Through it" refers to through the example of sound itself. Also, "not only being made, but also audibility." If it is said that only being made is what can be understood, then it is "reasonable." Seeing that examples exist is because the reason for being made and audibility is the same, and corresponding to this, like the reason of audibility itself, it will not become the same. If that is the case, then it is not the same. If that is the case, then reason has not become reason. All refers to the reason corresponding to that reason, whatever it is, such as being made, etc., there the name of reason will also disappear. If someone asks, by what will this also become like that, how can audibility be something with the same reason? "Audibility also" is the answer. "This also" refers to audibility itself. What is to be proven by being made is impermanence, and the opposite of this is permanence, about which there is no confusion. It is the view of the teacher Dignāga. In order to ascertain the teacher's intention, and to express it with the authority of his treatise, it is "then." Summarizing the context is "therefore." Unrelated, that is, for the thing to be proven, the relationship is uncertain, this itself is the cause of doubt, therefore, the definitions of reason, etc., are pervasive. The definition of reason is that it is related to the thing to be proven, having the property of being present in the similar class. The fallacious reason (contradictory reason) is that it is pervasive in the opposite of the thing to be proven, having the property of being present in the similar class. The uncertain (undetermined reason) is that it is together with it, the relationship with the thing to be proven is uncertain. Therefore, reason, contradiction, and uncertainty, all of these are pervaded by the definition. Therefore, there is no fault of the definition not being pervasive. If because the difference is not stated
