That is, without an object of focus, meaning it is an example of selflessness without an object of focus. To state this is "something." Another opponent states, "Samkhya." The meaning of "for the purpose of understanding" is: If knowledge and knowable things are understood to be non-different, then pointing this out is meaningless. If coming and the object of focus are non-different, then what is the use of proving the absence of an object of focus? This is a question. The answer is "object." The existence of a vase, etc., is an object, and knowledge and sound are object-possessors. Doubting the existence of a vase, etc., is an object, and the knowledge and speech of doubting are object-possessors, because the object does not exist, so in the definite absence of an object of focus, the object-possessor knowledge, etc., is prevented, and thus preventing it is what is to be proven. For the non-appearing absence of an object of focus, what is prevented is the term that has certainty, not doubt, otherwise this will prevent everything, which has been said before. If asked what it is like, the answer is "for example." By understanding burning, the characteristics of knowledge and speech are definitely introduced into the term of fire, while doubt leads to doubt. If the fire does not exist, then all the terms of fire will be prevented. Furthermore, what kind of object is considered here? And what is this? It is "knowledge," etc. The so-called "doubting them" refers to doubting the object, which is what is being said at the moment. Knowledge, speech, and doubt are objects. If this is the case, then how is the object-possessor prevented? It is "object." How can the object that prevents knowledge, etc., not exist? It is "opposite." The detailed explanation of the example is "for example." How is the doubt about fire prevented? It is "in another direction." The other direction other than the direction without burning is the direction with burning, that is, the one that has become so. The meaning is to become doubtful about burning. The so-called "doubting fire" is doubting "is this fire or not fire," that is, doubting the term of fire. The so-called "if it does not exist" refers to the burning that has become another direction.

If there is no existence, then because there is the absence of the necessarily opposite burning, the term 'fire' of doubt changes, but it only does not change. Why is it said that denying the term is not to prove the absence of fire? It is like this. Thus, after stating the two results of denying the name of the existence of the invisible, now, the absence and the invisible are said to be its self-nature, showing how the self-nature with the result of the name of absence as a precursor is. The absence of fire is not other than the non-burning, but the non-burning itself is the non-fire. Similarly, the absence of the visible is also not other than the invisible, but the invisible itself is the absence. That is because of existence, from the existence of the invisible, arises the knowledge of absence with reason, and the proof with the reason of the invisibility of sound, but not the absence of things. Cessation means seeing. That means, if seeing is established. That self-nature means, the self-nature of the invisible. To welcome the doubt of not being that self-nature, it means if. The answer is, the thing to be proven, the sign of proof is the absence and invisibility here. Or, if the thing to be proven can be established from the unestablished, then the unestablished itself is considered to be many things that need to be proven, therefore, the unestablished with the characteristic of proving the thing to be proven, the establishment of the sign of the unestablished is impossible. How can the sign itself not prove the thing to be proven? If the self-nature of this absence and invisibility is not admitted, then there is no connection at all. Therefore means, because there is no connection. That means, the thing to be proven itself is not established. After repeating the arguments such as the thing to be proven, explaining that itself etc., answering with the thing to be proven etc. Similarly means, with the sign of proving the thing to be proven. Why? Because the unestablished means, it is different. The unestablished means, with the sign of proving the thing to be proven.
