Kha (translator's note: Tibetan letter ka) is to eliminate the very possession of qualities. If it is not so, it means: if emptiness is not considered to be the nature separated from objects with obstruction, not the object of valid cognition (प्रमाण, pramāṇa, measure). The conclusion is: therefore. This "de" refers to the absence of things. Like this, things are not mixed but separately established, therefore it should be separately established. At that time, it should be admitted that it is established by valid cognition, therefore, the absence of things is also measurable. If asked: how is the absence of things measurable? Because only things are measurable. The answer is: of things. However, it is also an object without others. Why? Valid cognition is, it means: because it is the characteristic of holding things separate from others. Saying this itself is the ability to distinguish. If what can distinguish is valid cognition, then, will knowing fish skin as silver also become valid cognition? The answer is: if it is. By other damagers. Because in that way, it is not valid cognition with things as objects, therefore, it does not deceive in name, whatever can function, is both provable and knowable, and is measured by this. The pot is, it means: the very realization of being able to function, and the realization that there are no carts etc. mixed with the same knowledge, is the meaning. Therefore, it means: because following is not mistaken. However, it means doubt. If it is so, it means the answer. Because only things that can function are measurable, therefore, the ability to function itself becomes the expression of impermanence itself. That also, it means: how is the measurability of the characteristic of being able to function itself a reason with following? This is how it is connected. Why? From the absence of things. If anything that does not exist does not become a source, then, if you want to say how to return from the non-existent, the answer is: even from the non-existent. It has been shown, it means: in "outer things and non-things are interdependent". This is, it means: because it shows that measurability itself is a common uncertainty. Those who follow without error are the reasons.

It is also clear that it is a limb. In this way, the thing itself should also be proved to be impermanent, and for things like pots and the sky, it is concomitant and contradictory. This is because the Sautrantika school believes that the sky is also non-substantial. Because non-existence has also been proven in its source. Therefore, how can it be proved to be permanent? That which can be measured is a common uncertainty, and similarly, for the impermanence itself that is to be proved, it also abides in this way. Arguing that the nine aspects of the limb that have been shown are too few is called "if." To meet the doubt of the established tenet that the arguer speaks of is called "however." "If that is the case" is called the arguer answering himself. "In the Svātantrika" means not depending on the difference of things. "Then, what kind of object is it that has become the object of convention?" is called "however." "If such a thing does not exist, then it can be established by itself, but without a cause and a difference, how can it be established?" is called "that thing also." "Why is it not established?" is called "it is not seen," which is to have doubts about the result. "Then, how can it be established as non-substantial?" is called "if." "Without it" means without having doubts about the result, etc. "For it also" refers to the cause and the difference. "That itself" refers to its nature and what arises from it. "If only the established relationship is not seen, then at that time, like the reason of nature, etc., why not combine the example here as well?" This is called the meaning of asking. The answer is "it is only combined." In this way, the cause and the one that produces the nature and the difference, in the dissimilar aspect, through contradiction, the teacher Dignāga said that the result and the meaning of becoming pervasive are contradictory, therefore, not seeing the establishment of those examples, therefore, it was not said to be different from those two. Who says such a thing, is there such an expression? It is called "this has already been shown." "Then, is the non-seeing of nature complete?" is called "nature." "It has already been shown" means that the nine aspects of the limb have already been shown.
