The similarity lies in mistaking smoke for the fruit of fire. This is said on the basis of not accepting the entity of cause and effect. Now, in order to accomplish the meaning of returning from the inconsistent side, establishing the entity of cause and effect in conventional truth, namely: Other. "Because there is no it" means that because there is no fire, there is no this smoke. How can it happen without it? "Immediately after" means that smoke will not immediately after fire. When will the two not change? If other things, such as carnivores, are also causes. "Consistent" refers to explanation. "That" refers to fruits such as smoke. "If there is no that" means that if there is no fire, it will disappear immediately, which is impossible here. When? Refers to other things, such as carnivores. "Controlled" means that it follows the coming and going of fire. "Arbitrary" refers to obtaining fire from smoke without reason. Therefore, in order to obtain the means of accomplishment such as liberation, the determination of fruit and fruit, the individual determination of fruit will not change. So, according to your view, since there is no entity of cause and effect in any case, how can you seek the means of determining each fruit? It is said "Non-duality", in conventional truth, only the entity of cause and effect exists, so it enters through individual determination. Because there are other reasons, "because without it there is no" and so on, and it is unreasonable to seek the means of determining each fruit. Even so, then how can things with life and so on not be returning? Because it is said "because". "Returning" refers to Shawa and smoke. I rely on reasoning, life, etc., and it is not established as my own essence or the entity of cause. Therefore, because one's own essence, etc. are not established. For non-common particularities, there is neither following nor returning. Why would it be established as returning in the same way? Refers to "its essence". It is only certain that the essence to be established.

It means that it is eliminated because it does not exist. Why does only it change like that? Because there is no connection. The so-called "Is it like that?" means that only having a connection eliminates it. If you ask: How is it not a reason? The answer is: Because there is no connection. If you ask: Then, are life and so on related to me? The answer is: Having a connection. If you ask: Then, from the connection of those who have it, etc., are they only the pervading and the pervaded things? The answer is: It is its own nature. Asking a question: Why can't those who have it, etc., become pervading and pervaded things in other ways? The answer is: Because they cannot become pervading and pervaded things in other ways. Why? Because apart from its own nature and what arises from it, there is no other reason to become pervading and pervaded. If you say that only through its own nature and what arises from it, will you understand having life and so on? The answer is: It is also that way, that is, the characteristics of its own nature and what arises from it. For life and so on, even if it is like that, it is still not understood, meaning that life and so on are not understood as my own nature and what arises from it. The so-called "Therefore" is because one's own nature and so on have not been established. The so-called "Therefore" also refers to the teacher Dignāga of the Pramāṇavādin school. The so-called "this" means that there is no concomitance and counter-concomitance. Explaining the fourth verse is: If it is not like that. The so-called "Even if it is like that" means even if it can be understood. Explaining "Therefore, it is uncertain" is: Because of therefore, etc. The so-called "that also" means there is no life and so on. Because of that reason, even on the body of a living person, if the pervaded self is eliminated, then the pervading life and so on must exist. But in reality, it does not exist, therefore, because the pervading life and so on do not exist, the pervaded non-self is eliminated, so one will realize the self, after repeating this argument, the answer is: The absence of life and so on is the pervading of non-self.
