Because it is not valid cognition. (Because it is not an effective cognition). Another refutation to be stated is "another". If a thing is universally present in time and will be divided into parts, then at that time it will only become one whole, because there is no difference in the self-nature of things. The attachment to that diversity will become a part. If, this is called explanation. In addition, this is called non-pervasion. To this, the question of welcoming the answer is "if it is one". The answer is "then". For the differences in tones, etc., there is also a reason for the question of sound, called "tones, etc.". The answer is "vase". Doubting the self-nature of the two sounds is "one and". Sound as sound itself is one, but through tones, etc., it is many, if you say so. The answer is "then", one is untrue, because there is no valid cognition that can establish one. Many will become true, because it is the opposite, that is its meaning. If you ask how one is untrue? It is like this. According to your point of view, because the power of recognition is used to grasp one, if the sound becomes one and many, then that recognition has already been made not a valid cognition in advance, so how can one be established? If both are untrue, then what is true? It is "when". If you ask how is difference true? Because of difference. For non-difference, for the same thing in the previous and later times, there is nothing that can grasp the different self-nature, the external reality has valid cognition. Therefore, only difference is true. If you think, then how is non-difference established? Difference. If you ask, then is non-difference also true? That discrimination is not valid cognition, therefore, how does the non-difference established by it become untrue? Explaining the second half is "if difference is true". If someone would admit this, if difference is not true, what is the fault? If difference is not true, then if you admit that difference is not true, then the non-difference that dharma

What is it that has (the nature of)? It is nothing. However, only non-difference is true, because only that is how names (conceptualizations) are made, which is called just non-difference. For what reason is difference not true? Because non-difference does not become any dharma, and even just non-difference does not become a name. Even if difference is not true, why does its non-difference not become true? This is called the subject of dharma. Thus it is true. For example, the (horn) of a rabbit. The answer is that difference does not depend on non-difference, but is independent on its own, which is called "like this." For what reason is the non-difference that has become the nature of the subject of dharma, because of the reason that there is no other dominant characteristic relationship, is it different? If it is called "other," that is, if non-difference and difference have other dominant characteristic relationships, then the difference of the subject of dharma itself will be lost. The object to be differentiated is itself different, and it is also only the subject of dharma, because it has no basis. Difference is aimed at the object to be differentiated. The dharma of the past nature depends on difference. Therefore, it is called "expressing non-difference." Like a common dharma, for example, if the common differences of cows, etc., are removed, it will not change. Similarly, if non-difference reveals difference, it is not appropriate. Therefore, constancy and the occasional appearance of the object's result are contradictory. Like that, it refers to the nature of being without interruption. Being called "completely interrupted" refers to not changing the attachment to the present state. Why? Because that is the universal nature. Being called "for others" refers to relying on other knowledge to be attached. Why not be attached like that? That also refers to the present state being attached to. Therefore, if it is constant, it is contradictory to the occasional appearance of the result. After proving the universality, the nature of the property is stated, which is called "therefore." By recognizing the characteristic of the knowledge that clings to the present state, from the result, the impermanence of sound is recognized.
