It is the very grasping of the aspect of gathering. That which is called "having an aspect" is determined by objects and so on. That which is called "from that" is because the aspect being grasped and other aspects are distinct. That which is called "distinct" is other than the aspect that is present. If, when the present aspect grasps an aspect, it is grasped by another aspect, then at that time the aspect that abides in the other aspect will also not be grasped. That which is called "other." The distinct aspect that is other than the clear is also grasping, even though it abides in the other clear. Why is that? Because it is only its own nature, that is, because the other aspect is not distinct from the grasped aspect. In that case, "by its own nature" means that whatever other aspect is the nature of the other clear, having become its nature, the other aspect that is being grasped, having become one with its nature, is the other aspect that abides in the other clear. If it is said to be the nature of the aspect that is being grasped, then it is not correct to say that it is not its nature, but rather it is said to be its nature. Thus, because the two aspects are its nature, when one is grasped, the nature of all aspects is not grasped. If grasping it leads to grasping the other clear as well, then the other clear and the clear How is its nature together with the other clear? It is called "through." The aspect and the other aspect are directly its nature, and the other aspect is one with the clear and is its nature, then the clear itself will also become so. Therefore, through the other aspect is also the other aspect and its nature, and thus, when grasping an aspect, it will lead to grasping the other aspect, which is the meaning of what is said. Explaining the first half is called "the other aspect." Explaining the second half in detail is called "that other aspect." That which is called "not different from it" is not different from the aspect. At that time, even if the other aspect is grasped, it will not grasp the other aspect that abides in the other clear, which is called "other than it." If it is thought that it is grasped only by its own nature, then it is said to be "not different." Even if it is not different, according to your view, when grasping it, it is not grasping it.

Why is that? It is called "having characteristics." If one holds onto a characteristic, one does not intend to hold onto the determination of having characteristics that are no different from it. Therefore, even if one holds onto one characteristic, it will not become holding onto another. However, this is to welcome doubt. "That and" is so named because the previous characteristic and another characteristic are not different. "That" is so named because it abides in another clarity that is determined by objects and so on. "Thus, then" is the answer. Characteristics are not different because they are not different from having characteristics, so having characteristics will also not become different. It is not appropriate for non-difference to become difference from non-difference. "By this" is so named because it becomes the fault of having characteristics that are non-different. The one who makes distinctions is the hermit. What are the words of distinction? It is called "in one" and so on. Again, how is this abandoned? It is said as "characteristic." Because characteristics are not different, that which is not different from that characteristic is not another clarity, because it has become the nature of generality. It is called "like other characteristics," for example, just as the characteristic abiding in variegated color is no different from the characteristic abiding in yellowish color. However, this is called contention. Clarity is different because of the distinctions of qualities and so on, and the clarity that possesses them is different, so it is reasonable to be different, but the characteristic is not other, because it does not become many characteristics due to the distinctions of qualities and so on, because it is separated from qualities and so on. That is not so, it is called establishing the tenet. Is that which distinguishes black and so on as clarity different or non-different? To that, for the time being, the first position is refuted, it is called "if." "That" is so named, black and so on accumulate differences, from what is the difference? For example, jewels are different, but not different, similarly, because other meanings such as black and so on are different, clarity is not different. "That and" is so named, it is related to qualities and so on. If clarity is different, then why not admit that characteristics are also different at that time? Because characteristics are related to that. "If" and so on are detailed explanations. "That" is so named, it is different because of black itself and so on. What is the reason?
