That which is called "severance and necessary apprehension are also objects of conceptualization." The word "etc." includes the things to be distinguished and the things themselves. What is used together with distinctions etc. is the particle that has the meaning of necessary apprehension, and the meaning of the particle, that is, what is said and what can be said. The so-called "therein" refers to understanding in relation. Such clinging, that is, not possessing, possessing others, etc., and the collection called "aspect," whose meaning is to explain that. What is called "what is that" is clinging to differences, that is, being different from others, and the association that follows, or both are said, that is, what is called "association with differences." The so-called "aspect" is a collection with the sixth case, to which the teacher thinks there are three meanings, that is, thinks of making explanations. If it is said that "this statement has three meanings," how is this understood? The so-called "specifically" is for understanding three meanings in multiple meanings. The so-called "aspect" refers to the fact that what is not an aspect is not a reason, thus understanding it as severance, and "its dharma is a reason" is to establish it. Thus, both can be understood. Then, how should the dharma of the aspect be shown? From the six unestablished ones mentioned in the Nyāyabindu, and the two clear ones, and the six uncertain ones, and the three correct reasons, it is for the purpose of speaking those meanings. The so-called "only this much" refers to the non-, contradictory, uncertain, and correct reasons themselves. The so-called "those two themselves" refers to the nature and the fruit themselves. The so-called "the other two" refers to the measurable and the audible themselves. The so-called "therefore" refers to the fact that it is understood from the opposite point of view. Whatever exists and does not exist in the similar and dissimilar sides, and the nine kinds of aspect dharmas spoken in two ways, what are those? The so-called "those nine kinds of aspect dharmas are." The so-called "permanent etc." refers to what is to be established. The so-called "how is the past not many" refers to the four ways themselves. At the end of the established, the meaning is that although the effort-born and the made two do not have four ways in their own nature, but for the proponent of what is to be refuted,

The discourse is called "Having Four Aspects from Arising." The explanation of this starts from "In terms of its own nature," and so on. Therefore, this is because it is reasonable. "Made" and so on are arguments. "Its characteristics" and so on are answers. For what is made, there is the characteristic of self-nature; for what arises from effort, there is the characteristic of result. For what is made, there is no characteristic of result other than self-nature; for what arises from effort, there is no characteristic other than the result itself. Therefore, it is the opposite, that is, what is made itself is not the self-nature that arises immediately upon effort for the result. Why? Because it is self-nature. Because it is not pervasive for the result that should be understood, but only pervaded by self-nature. It is not only pervasive, because the meat itself is not pervasive to the wood itself. Why is it thought that the result is not pervasive? Because the cause may be confused about the result. Because of this confusion, the result exists in the cause in two ways. If it is thought how self-nature pervades, it is "what is made itself." If it is thought how the result exists in two ways, it is described only by impermanence. Therefore, this is because the result is not certain to be created. That is what arises immediately upon effort. From "cause" to "similar" is the argument. The thought on this is this: all impermanence is immediately produced by the effort of the cause such as potters, which generates knowledge, so the result does not exist in two ways. Therefore, how does what is made itself also know impermanence itself in the same way through knowledge? Therefore, what arises immediately upon effort also becomes the reason for self-nature. If knowledge is pervasive, then are not the vase and so on things other than knowledge? Then, how can light be included in self-nature? That is why "how." "Immediately upon effort" is the answer. The knowledge of the characteristic of arising immediately upon effort is not the existence of things. Why? Because if things that do not generate knowledge other than things that generate knowledge do not exist, there will be this fault. Therefore, "immediately upon effort"
