It is like this. Distinguishing things that have other properties, and distinguishing things that completely lack properties, is not like that. If someone asks, fearing faults: How can only the uncommon property become a reason? Then, just as distinguishing things that have other properties has no special significance, distinguishing things that completely lack properties should not be specially treated because of the fault of not being established on one side. The type of tree is to distinguish sleep and completely lacking sleep, because it has the property of one side. Therefore, only distinguishing unrelated things is special. Therefore, for the so-called "absence of concomitance arising from the special nature of that dharma-possessor," etc., it is not dependent on the fault of absence of concomitance in the example, or absence of concomitance on one side. The meaning is that it is not dependent on the uncommon property and the fault of not being established on one side. If someone asks: By what will it not become the fault of absence of concomitance? Why not distinguish things that have other properties, etc.? The answer is: Because it was said, "that dharma." "Other" refers to the dharma-possessor of the example. "Therefore" is because of doubt. "That" refers to indicating the distinction of things that do not have properties, distinguishing things that have other properties and things that completely lack properties is not like that, therefore there is no fault of absence of concomitance, it should be explained as before. If it is said, "the dharma-nature of one side," then, in order to eliminate the doubt of "how can one understand that it is merely distinguishing unrelated things," it is explained like "so famous," etc., it is like this. The word "also" in "things that have other properties" also includes things that completely lack properties. "In order to dispel" means because it is not the object of dispelling. "This meaning" refers to distinguishing unrelated things. If someone asks: How is it? The answer is: "Other" refers to having the dharma-possessor of the example. "There" refers to specially. "Right there" refers to right there in distinguishing things that have other properties. If someone thinks how is it contradictory? The answer is: It is doubt. "Because merely the ability to establish itself has the same result as the example, how can it be clearly explained?" That is the meaning. Establishment is...

Elimination or obstruction is not establishment, because elimination is not the basis of reason. Not only the word "also" of elimination, but also follows what is intended to be expressed. How is this known? It is known from the word "as such." Sound and what is intended to be expressed enter as they are, but separation from meaning is not as it is. How is this known? It is known from the word "sound is." If there is a debate such as "if," the meaning is this: the certainty expressed together with the distinction is not what is excluded by those who do not possess it, but only excludes those who possess others. For example, the certainty expressed together with the distinction, such as "Devadatta's only son," only excludes those who possess others, but those who do not possess it are not like that. Being contrary to the context means: it is right in the context of showing that what can be established exists on the side of the concordant class, therefore it is contrary to this. The conclusion of not being contradictory is: although the subject to be proven and the means of proof are shown to be distinctions in terms of sound, in reality it itself is only the one with distinctions, because it is the basis. Dharma and agility are distinctions because they are not the basis. Therefore, the word "only" expresses together with both Dharma and agility, and only excludes the unrelated. For that, it refers to the means of proof. That is the distinction. The ultimate meaning refers to the way of meaning. If there are two ways, which one should be taken here? Here it says "here." The Dharma of things refers to the state of things. Fault means that there is no fault of being contrary to the context. The certainty mentioned here is not contradictory to valid cognition either, which refers to "here," that is, the property of the subject. The nature of exclusion means: this is only the property of the subject, and not non-property, this is the nature of preventing the non-possessor. For the smoke existing on the ground, this is also established by direct perception. For the createdness existing on sound, it is inference arising from signs that are different due to the difference of causes.
