Moreover, the teacher Dignāga also said so. In the present case, since there is no different opposite, it is simply unestablished. Because the nominal has been established, or rather, the subject to be proven, which is established by the nominal as "sound is permanent," is itself sound, so it is used as the probans. What kind of probans is used? Whatever is not associated with different minds is called "that," that is, in the form of being the subject to be proven, there is no other nature residing in other minds, which means not being associated with different minds. Because there is no other thing that can be distinguished in this way, there is not even a difference in the things that are proven, therefore, the reason "because it is sound" is one aspect of the meaning of the pledge, so it is shown to be unestablished. What causes this to be unestablished? If what is to be established here is itself taken as the probans, then how is it? The so-called opposite refers to the difference between impermanence and the sound of being made, which is not the same as the opposite of the characteristics such as being made. Why? Because the opposite is the same. Then, how should the difference be understood? However, the boundary of opposition to non-sound, etc., that is, those opposites that oppose from the difference, are different, this is related. The commonality is being made, because it exists in both sound and non-sound. The non-commonality is sound itself, because it exists only in the exclusion of sound. Alternatively, the commonality is the limbs such as form and sound, while the non-commonality is the possessor of limbs such as a pot. The so-called "like that" is the difference between common and non-common. The so-called "cause of things" is sound itself. According to other views, the cause of things exists through ultimate difference, while according to the Buddhist view, it is measured through the difference of opposites. Here, whether according to either view, difference is impossible. The so-called "even if it changes" is in the absence of two kinds of difference. The so-called doubt refers to the "cause of things." The so-called expression of mutual dependence refers to "the sixth." The meaning is the cause of sound.

That which is called "non-name-holder" means that when meaning is seen, sound is expressed from symbols. If meaning is not seen, because there are no symbols, sound will only become a non-expresser. Therefore, the expresser here is the cause of meaning. Doubt is what is meant by "that meaning is." What is called "becoming like that" means that it is understood from sound. What is called "what" is what is to be expressed. What is called "is valid" is what is to be accepted. If it is not so, what is expressed by sound is measurable, so how can measurement be applied to it? What is called "other sound" refers to the sound itself. The answer is "if it is so." If multiple sounds are multiple meanings, then multiple things like trees and water drinkers will become multiple meanings, so they will not become categories, just like the sounds of bottles and blankets. Because the return is different, the reverse is not different, but it comes from different reverse boundaries. But here, there is no difference in reverse boundaries, so "sound is" and so on are easy to understand. This explains that because there is no difference, it is said to be unestablished. Now, in order to explain that it is understood at the time of combining the commitment, so it is repetition, that is, the meaning of "another." The meaning of "sound" itself means that it comes from the hearing of the sound itself. Again, what is said about the sound itself? The doubt is what is meant by "again," that is, the Dharma sound itself is the main purpose. It is not the main purpose. Why? Because there is no result. If it is thought that taking it as the main purpose will have the effect of understanding the result, then "Dharmin" is said. The meaning of "done" is that the characteristic of Dharmin, that is, being separated from the conditions of things, can only understand impermanence. If you also think, just as the Dharma of a lamp can illuminate, can the sound itself also understand that it is impermanent? "Lamp" is said. If, by the example of a lamp, a Dharmin can be understood by Dharma, then the hidden fire will also be known by the Dharma existing in that Dharmin, just like a lamp, because it does not depend on relationships. Therefore, this mountain has fire, because it is a mountain.
